We have a guy in choir who's a realtor and refuses to turn his phone off during rehearsals. So it rings, and he gets up and pushes past the other tenors, already talking to whoever it is. I realize it's his business, but it's really annoying. (He usually sits behind me.) I guess I should be glad he goes out in the hall at all.
My super gripe is the way getting and ending a cellphone call affects so many drivers. They slow down without warning when they get the call, and may change lanes without signalling--they definitely make turns (on narrower streets onto another street or into a parking lot) without looking at other traffic. And then when you've realize the person in front of you is going to go 45 in a 65 zoned multi-lane highway and pull around to pass them...if the call ends they suddenly speed up.
Haven't heard one at a concert yet, but have at movies. ARGH!
