This is a hoax, and it is not even a new one. It was originally invented by a guy named Stanley Meyer who took money from investors for new "dealerships" for his new cars that ran on water. He had US patents and everything. Just think about the name of the suposed gas the car is running on...HHO...how many H's....2...thus H20...he can turn water into...WATER. Plus, the video comes from FOX News. Not exactly a beacon for truth :)
Do you know where I could find a news source for this being a hoax? I had heard there was a group of guys who made a water powered vehicle that extracted the hydrogen and burned it, but my understanding is that they died in an explosive car wreck. I know it's possible to use water as a viable source of fuel, you just have to extract the hydrogen from it first.
I'm also curious if anyone knows about the research that has been done with "heavy water".
This is an article regarding the older incarnation of this device. Since this new guy seems to have just announced it recently, there probably isn't much out there news wise that will refute it, but give it some time and I am certain that someone will get around to showing that this guy is a fraud.
Another thing that I just realized is that the orignal "inventor's" patents would have just ended a couple of years ago. I would not be surpised if this "new device" is a duplicate of the old one.
