ive just turned on the television and found the littlest hobo on. I just love that show, and the theme tune, but just as ive been logging on to write about it im shocked at how bad the acting is, and the props and sounds, its like someone has just got a video camera and filmed, like the blair witch type thing. I just to love it as a kid, i guess

Seeing old shows

I had the same experience! Back when all tv was in black and white, I loved to watch a detective show called "Peter Gunn" - you might have heard the theme - I thought it was excellent.
Then I bought a cheap video of some episodes at Go-Lo. Was I disappointed! The show was awful! As you said - poor acting, feeble script, cardboard props and poor backdrops.
Just goes to show how improved modern tv is and how much more sophisticated we are today compared to the "good old days".
