Well this is it!!! our last day in london. We moved out yesterday and moved in with our friend lisa for the weekend in putney. She lives in some flats just opposite putney bridge and the water. it is just lovely!! What a great friend Lisa is! To actually offer to put up 2 adults and a toddler when you are sharing with other housemates AND to give up your own room! A real treasure!
Did you know Malta is known as the George Cross island for its determined resistance to the Germans in WW11? The husband of my cousin Peggy, who lives in NZ, was on a ship involved in guarding the ships convoying much needed supplies to Malta during the war. His ship was signalled to change its position and not long after, the ship that took Stan's ship's place was sunk!
