my first drum lesson

I've wanted to learn how to play the drums since i was a kid. But it was never really a possibility. I mean, c'mon. me, playing the drums?? pshhh.

But for the past few years, I had been seriously thinking about it again. And last year, I even found an instructor that I thought would be really good. And a few weeks ago, I couldn't stop thinking ( Read more... )

Hehe, I always wanted to play the drums too! My dad was a drummer and I considered starting it in Jr High, but art took precedence. With that distinction, I missed the whole marching band culture. I guess if I ever really wanted to learn again, I could ask my dad.
So happy for you! Seems like you are getting to do lots of new things in New York!

Same story for me. I chose the solitary life of an art student over band. I always wondered what it was like to be a part of a team like that...

LOL, us art and science geeks missed all the band fun.
BTW, I'm getting the travel bug, especially with Victoria's talk of
England and Scotland. You free to travel sometime next year?

Oh I would so love to travel, but my budget is too tight for it to even be a possibility. Any extra automatically goes to visiting my fam in TX. That's what I get for living in this city and working at a job that only just barely pays the bills. Bitter much? A lil. :)

Where do you plan on traveling?? I like to live vicariously thru my pals that do get to travel...
