I'm voting for Kerry. This made me weep. I've never been a flag-waving type, but no matter how disgusted and cynical I've felt, I've always believed, on some level, that it was a good thing to be an American. Today, for the first time, I'm ashamed. What I've seen over the last two weeks has sickened me beyond belief. Don't blame the media. It' ( Read more... )

I can totally understand your frustrations, but with someone like Kerry in the White House, we will have many more 9/11's in America.

How do we know for certain what transpired?

Media that is too far right is as bad as media too far left.

I think the question isn't what Bush would do at this point, because if you don't want to vote for him you sure don't have to, but you have got to be very sure of Kerry if you're voting for him. Can you be certain he won't do stuff like this or worse?

It may be a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire.

In any case, if you do vote for Kerry, I don't wanna hear any complaints when bad stuff happens when he's in office and I'm going to rub yer nose in it when it does. Deal? I will provide a nice spongy mat so your nose won't get scraped and some after-nose-rubbing balm, though. I'm nice that way:)

Clinton's the one who got us INTO this mess, though. Plus if you think Bush is a liar, it's already been proven time and time again how much Clinton lied. He even bombed Afgahanistan when they weren't at war with us, costing innocent lives. Please, whatever you do, do it from an educated standpoint, not basing your vote on emotions. You all need to look at the hard facts surrounding these men. The "anyone but Bush" line is a total crock (They certainly DON'T mean "anyone" and therefore are liars themselves whilst bitching about being lied to. Surely they would not want Ann Coulter or Jerry Falwell for President in place of Bush -- but that is absolutely what "anyone" means.) It could be far, far worse, and if you don't think so, you're kidding yourself.

You seem to have forgotten what you wrote. Don't be such a bitch to me when I was totally civil to you, ok? Can you people for once just concentrate on the issues instead of treating other people like they don't count at all? So much for your tolerance and compassion. Such a disappointment that you can't even respond in a human way.

Hey Mel, these are the friends you keep? Show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are...as the poet says. Shameful. I deleted a whole lot of conservatives from my FL because they were assholes. It's not like I can't see an asshole when it presents itself, even if it agrees with me.

Mel states her mind is made up on whom to vote for, and that the issue is not up for debate. And yet you come in here & insist on questioning and belittling her choice. How the hell is that being respectful of your friend? Being a flaming liberal, I disagree with Hollie on many issues, but I respect her right to have a differing viewpoint. I wouldn't dream of trying to convince her that's she is 'wrong' on any issue, even if I wholeheartedly disagree. How about letting your friends make up their own fucking minds, and let them be when their decisions don't jive with yours.

Why don't you go fuck yourself? Oh wait, that's what a liberal typically says.;) I guess I'm just not a saint like you are. Feel good that you are so superior to us peons.

So what a moderate says, is, this is not really necessary. And it should stop now.
