Honestly, I think that personifying the vagina is shock value. And I'm not sure that it's any different from how men personify their dicks.

So true!

It sounds like an older version of feminism, but Wikipedia says Ensler first performed it in 1996. Not so long ago. Then again, I enjoyed having women's sexual issues discussed publicly.
