1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
Went camping.
2. Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make New Years' resolutions because any time I ever have I've forgotten about them within two weeks time.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Valerie Jane
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, for which I am grateful.
5. What countries did you visit?
Sadly none.

A passport (with a stamp in it ideally) and a new bed. And an engagement ring would be nice too.

None. I started to put down dates that were significant but none of them will remain in my memory forever.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

9. What was your biggest failure?
Maintaining a good relationship with Tyler.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had walking pneumonia in April and my wisdom teeth removed in November.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
It's a toss up between my couches (that are super comfy and wonderful) and my new TV (which is huge).
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My cousin Nina, who graduated from USC with her Masters degree, and my cousin Nicole, who got married.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
No one really appalled me. I was a bit depressed over the way things fell out with Tyler though. We have been very good friends for most of the time we've known one another, and I did not expect things to turn out the way they did.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Plane tickets. I flew to California twice and Houston twice, and the second time (Christmas) the ticket cost almost as much as the other three flights combined.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
My new apartment with just Truong and I. I have more space and all of it is mine.
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
None. I haven't associated a song with a year in my life since I graduated from high school.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter- time to join a gym.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer- having a job will do that for you.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
I wish I'd gone out and met more people. I still don't really know anyone in Seattle outside of old friends and Truong's family.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Crying- there were some times when one thing or another overwhelmed me and my natural stoicism seems to have deserted me. I've cried more in this year than the entire rest of my life it seems like.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
Spent it in Houston with family and friends.
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
No, I was already there and nothing has changed.

None.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Top Chef
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Nope.

The First Law series (3 books) by Joe Abercrombie

An engagement ring.

Kung Fu Panda and Wall-E
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I had walking pneumonia at the time, so nothing. Actually, I think we made it out to dinner but I only ate about half my meal. I turned 29, it was depressing.

My friends living near by.

I learned that you can't always fix things, even if you really want to, and sometimes it's just better for your sanity to let it go.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
I think music just really doesn't mean that much to me, because I can't think of anything.
