My brother has been banished from the household twice in the past two days. I may roll my eyes in disgust, but actually I'm pretty freaked out by the deja-vu that's flashing me back to one year ago. I'd rather not relive that shit again, thank you.

Oh, usual stuff. He was arrested again, and he and my mother battle over things like complying with the court, getting a job, quitting drugs and alcohol... etc.

Actually, since he's been gone for the past few days, this is the nice peaceful part. things are good. It's just when he comes back that it is hashed out again full force.

I'm torn between asking more questions because I want to better understand what's going on...and the realization that even if I fully understood it, I have little faith that I'd be able to offer up anything more than good wishes and an offer of support. Which offer I make anyway.

Mm mm, thanks again. Actually just found out a bit of good news though. He called from LA, which means it'll should be at least a week, probably more, that he's out of the house. Now there's just the fretting mother to avoid.

...okay. And I just heard from the other room that he's going to be an apprentice to an electrician. o_O? Ka-fwah? Wow. That just cleared up most of my "fretting mother" problem. *shrugs* So yeah, things are looking better.
