13 Griffin Way: Tuesday Afternoon
It had been a long week for Lindsay. Last week she had gotten an urgent phone call for Jill and the next thing she knew she was on a flight to San Francisco.
It had been a murder case that had gotten spun out of control. The victim in question had been one of two accused rapists who was murdered on campus with a plenty of suspects. The whole case was a mess from start to finish and the press was feeding the flames on the whole situation.
It came down to the second accused rapist getting arrested only to get shot by an angry boyfriend.
And unfortunately for Cindy Thomas, one of Lindsay's friends, she was hit in the gun fight.
Lindsay was on the next flight out to San Francisco and stayed there until she was sure Cindy was out of the woods. The case finally got resolved and after a few days of catching up with her friends and making amends with Jacobi, Linz headed home to Fandom.
She picked up Martha from her kennel on the mainland and was shocked when she saw the state of the town when she arrived.
"Yeah, I don't know what happened, girl," she said to her dog as she walked into the house. "I'm just glad we missed it."
