[There was nothing that could remove that smug grin from his face as he had figured out where River taught and where specifically her office was located. The Doctor liked being clever like that as he leaned back in the chair and propped his feet on the desk waiting for her to discover him.]

[River Song, as always, valued her privacy, so her office was located near the end of the hall, away from the more pig-headed residents of the Archaeology department. Her heels clacked against the tiled floor as she made her way back from her last class of the day.

Stacks of mid-semester reports and late essays were all that awaited her within, or so she thought. Upon closing the door, she was surprised to find a very familiar face sitting (as if he owned the place!) at her desk]

...Well, hello. To what do I owe this pleasure?

You always seem capable of finding me. So I thought I would turn the tables and locate you first. Actually, I don't have a clue where in your timeline I'm at, so I'm terribly sorry if this is awkward for you....

[The grin was still there.] Lovely office, by the way!

Oh no, I wouldn't call it awkward. Surprising, but a pleasant one at least. I haven't seen you in awhile. We've both been quite busy, I think [She slowly moved from the door and towards the desk, offering him a gentle smile] Well thank you, I'm rather fond of it myself.

So why exactly did you decide to come find me? Just to show that you could?

Yup, pretty much! I was a little bored too... [He pulled his feet off the desk, but still stayed in the seat sitting there as if he owned the place.]

So, professor, what did we learn in class today?

[She leans against the edge of her desk, crossing her arms across her chest. She's a bit bothered by his sudden control of her space, but she won't comment on it...yet] Well, we were supposed to be covering field survey and excavation techniques, but one of the students inquired about my book and we got... distracted.

And typically I'm the one made fun of for getting distracted... Look who isn't far behind.

[He leaned forward and pulled off the text book from her desktop and started flipping through it.] So, professor, care to teach me any of those techniques?

[He had meant that as a joke, despite the innuendo being hinted at.]

I'm quite proud of my book, thank you very much! I've worked hard on it!

[A frown, and she slaps her hand down on the book he's reading] Part of me would care to teach you some manners, actually.

[captoftardis]

I have manners, thank you very much! And honestly, you should be much nicer to your friend you haven't seen in a while paying you a surprise visit.

[And with a childish "hmph!" He crossed his arms and looked outside as if whatever out there was far more interesting than her.]

[Pursing her lips into a tight line, she looked him over - he claimed to have manners, but he certainly wasn't showing them. A heavy sigh and she moved off her desk, circling behind the chair and placing her hands on his shoulders.] Alright sweetie, I'm sorry. I am glad to see you, but it's been a very long day and I'm a bit snippy.

[She knew she'd have to be the bigger person about this, at least for the moment, and she rubbed his shoulders just a bit, leaning in to whisper in his ear] Forgive me?

[captoftardis]

Always.

[He promptly stood up and spun the chair to her, enouraging her to sit. He then took her just left position of massaging her shoulders.] This any better? Want to talk about your day?

[She smiled at his reply, offering a grateful nod when he moved to switch places] Thanks ever so much.

Ohh, much better... [She groaned as his hands began to massage and work at her tense shoulders, closing her eyes] Just the students getting cheeky is starting to wear me down, that's all. And all the assignments I need to grade and hand back...

Ooh, right there, love, just a little harder....

Can I help with any of it? I'm sure I'm qualified to know if some historical facts are true or not... [He presses his thumbs a little harder just below her neck, eliciting another satisfied groan.]

Oi, keep that up, people will think we're up to something lewd in here.

You might have an aneurysm at what some of these kids write. And mm, I'd say you're already helping quite a bit...With those fantastic hands...

[River couldn't help herself with how vocal she was becoming in response to his handiwork, arching herself just a little in the chair]

Let them think what they waaant... [Another groan, drawing out her sentence] Mmm, unless you really want to give them something to talk about...

[Playfully, he leans down and speaks lowly in her ear.]

River Song, are you trying to seduce me in your office?

[Really, it was more like the other way around given their current positions, but who was he to say he didn't like to play along?]
