I rolled a 5 but Hiroshi doesn't really know Ben he just has knowledgeheiswithinyouNovember 17 2011, 01:54:04 UTC
And there stands a young boy, Asian in descent. About his one wrist is a rosary, wrapped tightly. He's just a human in body; but the sainthood about him just radiates. He's very careful approaching, but not afraid.
[The sigil on his chest means that demons can't kill him directly.
Killing him indirectly, however, is a different story altogether. They've had him for weeks, giving him barely enough water to torment him and no food at all. He's skin and bones, sprawled in an alley, and dying. His voice is a bare rasp.] I don't... who are you.
A bitterness is only natural. It phases the man none. He merely smiles with such serenity as he guides the other down to rest.
"It will be done," the priest speaks. "Please know that He has not abandoned you."
Hiroshi takes from his pockets Holy water and bessed oil. "It may seem as He has and though your sufferings are unsightly, He will always love you. So please rest now in knowing you have done everything you can to fight the good fight."
He took that hand and held it firm as he listened. There would be no doubt in His mind that Ben was faithful and Hiroshi was certain.
"You will be at peace now," he wispers, setting the hand down. "Allow yourself to rest."
He would clean this body with blessed water and cloth and as he did so he would speak in old tongue of aramaic. "Father, please accept this child into your Kingdom. Let his spirit come unto thee and be freed of its burdons as it passes into your Light. Let your everlasting Love reach into him and wash him clean of all his sins for he is a child of you, our LORD."
Thank. You... [And Ben's eyes slide shut. He's just so tired.
He inhales. Exhales...
And doesn't inhale again.
A shining lion bursts into being in the alleyway, roaring. Ben sits up, leaving his body behind, and throws his arms around the lion's neck. The lion purrs at him, swipes a tongue across his hair, and leaps skyward, leaving the broken, scarred body behind on the pavement.
Hiroshi sits back on his heels as he allows his hands to slide from the body. More than pleased to bless a soldier who died in battle, regardless of the fight he fought.
He watched as that spirit bristled out. Already so full of light for it's journey. A hand rose to wave it goodbye.
"Please, allow me to aid."

"I am just a man." His voice is soft and kind but there is a sharpness to it. A certainty. "My name is Hiroshi."

Been hurt. Enough.

There's a moment of quiet. "Would you like me to pass a message to your loved ones before we begin?"
