Dad... Then you know I can do the work and I can do a hell of a lot more too. This is kids' stuff, I can do this in my sleep. Aside from an attendance issue, we don't really have a problem because I'll still get straight A's, and so no.. not really, it's not because I'm your son, it's because I'm bored.
Then turn it in, genius. Because between your homework assignments and your non-attendance, you've got an F. And don't think I won't assign you to my class again. I will.
...also, what's this I've been hearing about you going out with some spiky haired boy? Tony, if it cuts into class time, it's a toxic relationship, gender be damned.
If he's tearing you away from class, you need to talk to him about it. You have all the time in the world after class to spend with him. Anyone who wants you to rearrange their life for them isn't respecting your boundaries.
*He presses his lips into a thin line. There's no sarcasm about it, not like before when it had been something like his grades, this was more serious.*
He's not tearing me away from class. This isn't any of your business, Dad, and it's not what you think at all. You always jump to conclusions.
I'd worry less if you would at least tell me who he is. You don't have to hide your dates from me just because they're male. Lord knows I have hang ups, but really, that's not one of them.

It's okay, I mean nothing happened and you don't have anything to worry about. Kay?

This doesn't have anything to do with that.
