Because everyone needs some random fluff in their lives sometimes! Whether you just need cheering up or you're just having fun in company you love to be in, let the fluffy, sweet times roll!
( It's hard not to, when she spends all her time creepin'.
She is not good at this, the human side of protecting Madoka. She has distanced herself intentionally, as painful as it is, in order to keep her safe. This time, they could not be called friends. But it hurts her to see Madoka hurt, makes her feel as if she is abandoning her wish to protect. )
I overheard some upperclassmen mention Mami-san. ( She can't help the way her breath hitches as the name spills out, it alone causing the tears to well up once more. )
Just remembering what happened to Mami-san, it... it still hurts so much.
Homura looks away, the fall of her bangs shadowing her eyes. What can she do for Madoka, to take away her pain, when her own threatens to spill out at every moment? )
She knew the risks of being a Puella Magi. ( She pauses. That is not particularly comforting, even she knows. ) But Mami... she did what she thought was right.
( Her hands clutch at her skirt, squeezing the fabric like a lifeline. ) I don't want to ever hear Sayaka-chan or Homura-chan talked about like that. Talked about... in the past tense.
( Homura says nothing to that. Her idea of strength has shifted over each timeline, with each new experience of the same month. To her, Mami is simultaneously strong and weak, someone to be admired, but not emulated.
She grits her teeth. She has heard all of them spoken of that way, has been made to think of Madoka that way. But she, her own feelings, are unimportant. Madoka is the center of her world now, of many worlds. She is all that matters.
Homura reaches out, brushes her fingers against the back of Madoka's hand, and makes a new promise. ) I won't let it happen.
[puts her hand on Madoka's forehead after setting down her stuff on the bedside table, her smile just the faintest bit sad, and then replacing that hand with the compress.]
Ah, that's good to hear. Do you think you're able to sit up, today?
It's thanks to you too, Mami-san. For being here and helping me, that alone makes me feel so much better.
( Her smile grows more as she finishes, nodding her head at the question. She has to adjust the pillows for support, but after a moment manages to get herself upright in the bed. )

Sa-Sayaka-chan, you're finally back! ( She's clearly to happy by this to care about the onslaught of an attack. )
