[Who's this in bed with you, Allen? Well it's certainly got long black hair like a Kanda, and that tattoo-like mark radiating across its bare chest like a Kanda, and there's definitely a Mugen propped up against the bed stand just out of arm's reach like one would expect of a Kanda.

But what would a Kanda be doing in your bed?

Luckily, it seems he's not awake to answer that question. Lying on his back with one arm casually stretched over his head and his breathing deep and steady, he actually looks rather peaceful, almost soft.

Almost.]

[Of all the people that Allen knew personally he could have found his way into bed with, Kanda would not have been top of the list by a long shot. There were particular kinds of necessities that he could see the two of them begrudgingly needing to share very close physical proximity, but those hypotheticals tended to circulate around extreme conditions in life-or-death kinds of set-ups.

This, however, didn't seem to be one of them.

Though being asleep, rather contently nestled in against the crook of the swordsman's neck, Allen really wasn't yet in a position to muse about the particulars of how and why he and Kanda had ended up in such a state. No, while he was asleep he cared mostly about being warm and comfortable. The body he was curled up against fitted both desires incredibly well, actually.]

[Usually, Kanda would have been awake hours ago. Usually, if he'd slept so late, something in his mind would have been nagging at him, impatient at the inertia. Usually the presence of someone else in the same room, let alone in the same bed, would have been enough to prick his senses.

But for whatever reason, Allen's presence isn't doing that this morning.

Maybe it's because they've been lying like this for some hours. However they got into the situation notwithstanding, it's not as though Allen is a recent addition to the sleeping arrangements. (Apparently.) So his quiet, restful presence isn't disruptive, as far as Kanda is concerned, and at least for now the swordsman shows no signs of stirring.

[Usually, being that close to Kanda would fairly certainly result in Allen's death. Usually. But this isn't the usual.

Fortunately for Kanda, Allen is a rather still sleeper; over the years of sleeping rough and on the streets it's a bit difficult to shake off the want to draw close to sources of heat, but once he is settled the chances of him squirming around are fairly slim.

His nose does softly brush up against the side of Kanda's neck a few times though, his left hand pressed up close to the side of the exorcist's ribcage (was Kanda still an exorcist now? Or was he also a heretic and fugitive of the Order?) to let his fingers splay casually over the exposed skin there as he slept. This rather nice, peaceful moment really could just keep going just like it was... That would be just fine... :)]

[Maybe it's the brush of the nose against his neck, or maybe it's just the time for sleep winding itself down, but Kanda stirs. He turns his head towards the soft shape at the crook of his neck, a gesture which brings his cheek down to touch Allen's hair. A moment later, a hand follows, sleepily settling itself on Allen's back.

But Kanda's not awake yet, even if some small murmur in the far back of his mind is beginning to tell him that not all is as he should expect it to be: the touch of another body--a live, calm, human body--is distinctly foreign to him, and even while some part of him responds to its presence, another part is preparing for the fortification of barriers, readying itself to eject the intruder from any semblance of intimacy just as soon as the swordsman wakes.]

I have...no approrpiate icons for this shit! XD;;;;; excommunicated November 29 2011, 20:15:21 UTC
[The slight movement causes a small noise of protest to emerge in Allen's throat--nothing so pronounced as an actual groan, but definitely a noise in response to the slight shift.

But the end result is actually...quite pleasant, really. The slight pressure on his head and the hold that drapes down over his shoulder and back only allows the illusion of comfort and protection to drag on a little bit longer. Because, really, it's not like Allen really has anyone to fall into and hide against from the world and all it's on-going trials. But it's nice to pretend, just for a little while. Perhaps that's why he's still stubbornly clinging to sleep, refusing to be stirred for as long as possible, just until that illusion folds back into reality again.]

I am fast running out, myself. kandescence November 29 2011, 23:02:25 UTC
[There's the slightest of furrows creasing Kanda's brow. Apparently that tiny sound has a disproportionate resonance, reaching some deep part of his subconscious that recognizes it and cannot stay asleep ( ... )

[No. No, even if Kanda is awake it doesn't mean Allen has to be awake too. Nope, not happening. Sorry.

It's so not happening, in fact, that to emphasis the stubbornness his body moves closer to the warmth of the other body beside him: his nose bumps up against Kanda's earlobe. The hand at his chest slides to the other side and winds a stray strand of hair between the outstretched fingers as he shifts his body in closer and the leg between Kanda's knees sliding between them further. None of it is aggressive or pressing for anything more than a want for that undisturbed closeness to remain undisturbed, as if there is a sense that the chances of it being taken away really are drawing nearer and nearer ( ... )

Yeah and this marks the first time I've ever used half of 'em! kandescence December 2 2011, 02:02:10 UTC
[Kanda's eyes open in the span of a heartbeat, wide and shocked with realization at both Allen's wakefulness and his own awareness--because when exactly did he realize that it's the stupid Beansprout who's lying there pressed up against him?! (He's not sure, but it must have been some time ago, since he's not even shocked to see the mussed white hair in the periphery of his vision or just catch the top corner of the pentacle-shaped scar on his companion's brow. It's more an experience of opening his eyes to see exactly what he expects to find.)

But that means that he's in bed with Allen. Not just sleeping--Kanda could have dealt with that.

He's embracing him, and Allen is practically wrapped around him, and they're both wearing...maybe nothing at all, and yes it's true that Kanda set out from the Order looking for the damn idealistic fool, but never because he was planning on this!Feeling frozen in place, Kanda tries to breathe slowly, evenly, calmly. He closes his eyes again, sets his jaw, and doesn't say a word, as though if he ( ... )

Lies and slander, I'm sure ;p excommunicated December 2 2011, 21:54:01 UTC
[Allen knows he has to breathe; not doing so would result in a sudden intake or exhale that would definitely draw more attention to him (as though being in bed with Kanda Yuu wasn't in and of itself drawing attention to him). So he makes himself exhale slowly and forces himself into a steady breathing pattern. It sounds so loud to him echoing off the curve of Kanda's neck and back at him, is it really that loud? Does it sound as panicked as he feels?

He keeps as still as possible there beside Kanda, unknowingly having a similar reaction of if he stays still, if he pushes himself back toward sleep then he doesn't have to deal with Kanda's fury, he can avoid any messy talking about what may have happened, he can fool himself into thinking that it isn't a big deal ( ... )
