[There's someone lying next to you, Eliot. Face down with their hair splayed all around and half covering their bare back. (It's a nice strong-looking back.) They don't seem to be showing any signs of wakefulness (which is odd for a person who's used to getting up at 4am.... Guess it must've been some night last night). Actually, at the moment, they look quite peaceful...]
[But then the shock begins to resolve itself, boiling over into incoherent outrage. He half-shouts, half-sputters because he's so angry that words are escaping him almost completely.]
XDDDDDD I have no words.distinctive_guyDecember 2 2011, 01:08:48 UTC
[It might be small relief if Kanda found out that there was no money exchanging involved and Eliot did not pick him up thinking he was a prostitute, yet, with circumstances as such, the relief would be so miniscule it might as well be nonexistent.
The situation doesn't get better from Eliot's widening smirk or arrogantly arched eyebrows.
Twenty-first century sensibilities and to a guy who had seen so much of the world is vastly different from repressed Victorian era pretty boys.]
Relax. I've got nothin' 'gainst gay men. [As if that was supposed to be reassuring to a closet homosexual. He could be open minded and accepting.] It's just not my thing.
I think I've been waiting YEARS for someone to say this kind of stuff to him IC-ly!!kandescenceDecember 2 2011, 21:11:21 UTC
[There's that word again. That stupid word that Kanda can't quite catch the nuances of and that makes him feel foolish for not knowing. It just makes him bristle more.]
Tch. Do I look happy to you, idiot? [Which is clearly a rhetorical question given that Kanda's current expression is half way to murderous as is.
What nettles him the most isn't even the fact that this total stranger is standing there laughing at him (though that comes in a close second), but that apparently he's laughing because he thinks that Kanda is somehow...unmanly. He thinks he's like a woman or that he takes a woman's role in bed or...Kanda's not even sure what all he thinks, just that he's very very wrong. And it's not even because the swordsman is repressed or naive. It's because if he was going sodomize someone, it sure as hell wouldn't be him who'd be on the receiving end of it
( ... )
Glad that he finally got what's coming to him. XDdistinctive_guyDecember 3 2011, 01:56:58 UTC
[At which Eliot took a slow amused look, letting his eyes stray from the long black hair to the smooth shaven chin and hairless chest. He found absolutely nothing of interest. Kanda had an effeminate Asian boy's body, lean and strong, but hardly what Eliot would consider a fighter's.
If the long haired youth thought attacking the hitter's manhood would shame Eliot and raise self doubts, the boy had another thing coming. It did nothing except drew a loud derisive scoff from the hitter as the man crossed his arms over his chest.]
Sorry to hand it to ya, man, but you ain't 'xactly the flashin' image of masculinity. Might be prettier than some of the ones I met. And I've seen a lot of pretty women.
[1/2] LOOOL The Kanda is confused. It may not attack...much.kandescenceDecember 3 2011, 12:56:44 UTC
[Kanda can't tell if he's just been insulted or given the most backhanded compliment possible: it appears that he has been compared favorably to 'a lot of pretty women.' That's hardly something he's aspired to.
On the other hand, he hasn't aspired to be compared favorably to a lot of handsome men either. For all the beauty of that long black hair of his, he washes it with soap, hardly treating it as an object of vanity. Even the strikingly large "tattoo" which stretches across his chest and over his left arm is the product of life history, not body art.
And its not like he has a low opinion of women or considers them to be weak or ineffectual, either. (No one who grew up alongside Lenalee could have thought such a thing.) He treats them and thinks of them exactly the same way he treats men.
So he doesn't really know why this comparison nettles him so much. It just does. And he has no intention of letting this man--whoever the hell he is--just stand there and laugh at him.]
[He scowls and then, without making any move to put on clothes at all, steps around the bed and approaches Eliot with a level, angry glare. He doesn't give a damn if he's naked, at this point. It's not making him move like he's any less confident nor any less able. He gets right up into Eliot's personal space before speaking, his voice now calm and cold, and with no small bit of threat behind it. He doesn't even care if Eliot is a couple inches taller than him. It doesn't back him off one bit.]
Guess it's just that you wouldn't know what to do if you had one in bed then. Since it seems you can't tell the difference. [In other words, Eliot, you wouldn't know where to put your dick if you can't tell kind of one hole from the other.]
Kanda, you walked right into that one.distinctive_guyDecember 3 2011, 17:46:36 UTC
[Eliot wasn't intimidated although the little Asian man was somewhat intimidating with his cold glares and hard attitude. His expression, however, went from amused to angry in the skip of a heartbeat as he scowled back at the supposed insult.
He wasn't even angry at the intended meaning of those words because he was quite confident in his masculinity and knew for a fact, as many of the happy women who knew him could testify to, that he knew exactly what to do with a woman in bed.
Rather Kanda just implied something did happen and he wasn't about to take the accusation of sodomizing this young male laying down. He was perfectly straight, damnit, and he did not need this brat to sully that image.]
Is your ass feelin' sore? [He growled, going right back into Kanda's face with icy eyes that glittered with danger.] Cause it wasn't me who tapped it so don't come blamin' me if you can't tell the difference between which man fucked you.
pfffffffft Oh, I was wrong. It attacks! XDkandescenceDecember 3 2011, 18:27:32 UTC
[As bitter as the insult is, Kanda suddenly feels like it's the best thing that's happened to him all morning, because from the moment Eliot speaks, the moment the fight enters into his eyes, there's no longer any reason to hold up this pretense of civility. They can be done with talking, and Kanda can do exactly what he wants to do, which is haul off and punch this wise-ass stranger right in the damn mouth.
There's barely a hint that it's coming--a flicker of something almost like a wicked smirk that tugs at the corner of Kanda's eyes. Even the fact that he's naked doesn't install so much as a moment of hesitancy.
And no, he doesn't know what Eliot can do as a fighter. He has to assume that he's a fit and able, but still normal, man. So maybe some part of him holds something back because of that, but it hardly makes him any slower as he snaps his fist around aiming a blow directly for Eliot's jaw.]
Yeah, he really won't be a man if he took that one without hitting.distinctive_guyDecember 4 2011, 05:34:17 UTC
[With how Eliot just insulted the man quite brutally even if the homosexual thing was real, he really couldn't blame the guy for striking back. Can't blame him doesn't mean he was going to let the pretty Asian man beat him.
Having anticipated the attack, he managed to reach his own hand out to intercept the punch. Their proximity to one another made maneuvering difficult, but Eliot tried catching Kanda by the wrist nonetheless to snake his own arm to lock the other's in a lock. At the same time he turned his body sideways away from the attack, whether to dodge or create room to pull the boy off balance will depend whether he caught the wrist.
Eliot was able to spend a private moment admiring the other's form and speed even as the fight was on.]
This whole fight: defense of manhood central!kandescenceDecember 4 2011, 14:18:37 UTC
[Kanda isn't expecting the counterattack, but he's not so novice a fighter as to be caught flat-footed by it either. He manages to evade the hold on his wrist before it closes, though just barely--it's so close that there's a brush of skin, and were he any slower, Kanda knows he would have been caught.
From that moment, he begins to take his opponent seriously: the man knows what he's doing, and he's quick and confident of doing it. He hadn't expected that. Which is not to say that the swordsman is backed off. Not in the least.
As Eliot turns, Kanda pivots as well, aiming a barefoot kick at the back of Eliot's knee, even as he prepares to block or dodge whatever attack he's sure will be coming next.]
[Fighting naked had both its advantages and disadvantages. For example, Eliot was sure the kick would've done a lot more damage on booted feet but as he felt the impact bend his leg forward, that was all it was, strong impact. He went with it, ducking his leg under it into a roll.
At the same time, his hands reached out to grab Kanda to take the man down with him although a disadvantage of being naked presented itself, not having any clothes to grip onto made it harder. Eliot went for the arm, reaching for and locking onto it as he fell down onto one knee to use the momentum to grab Kanda into a throw over his shoulder.]
[Not being heavy, Kanda's not that hard to throw, and he knows better than to fight it when he feel's Eliot's grip connect with his arm--better to go with the fall and then recover. He rolls with the throw, but the space around the bed is hardly big and open, and the momentum lands him back-first into the bedside table with sharp crack.
Tch. Irritating.
There's a moment of slowness as he regroups from the impact. And then he stands up and faces Eliot again, looking supremely annoyed but no less ready for the fight to continue.]
[Eliot re-evaluated Kanda when he saw the guy pick himself up from the wreckage of the bedside table with little worse for wear. A normal guy of that stature would have a much worse time at it.
Standing in the middle of the room where he picked himself up, Eliot regarded his opponent in a loose but ready stance.
He also gave the man an eyebrow raised in challenge.]
[If there was going to be a moment when Kanda thought twice about his state of complete undress, or felt modest enough to worry about clothing, or decided the whole confrontation wasn't worth his time, this would probably have been it.
As it is, though, the only thing that occurs to him is how it's irritating that he doesn't have a hair tie handy and thus has to fight with his hair down.]
Che. As if I'd go down that easily.
[And he launches in with a fast jump and a high hook kick aiming to hit the side of Eliot's head with his heel.]
[Not one to back down from an open attack like that, Eliot smirked and blocked the kick with an arm raised quickly. He could feel the force of it vibrating down his limb and grudgingly admired that despite those pretty boy appearance, the other was a fighter stronger than he looked.
He countered by using the contact between their limbs to push Kanda's leg off to one side, aiming to unbalance the other as he went in for quick rapid punches to the abdomen of the other man. He huffed and grunted from the action.]
