maybe not necesarrily a relationship, but adventure!times? captoftardisDecember 5 2011, 23:43:24 UTC
Wait, so you're telling me you've seen goblins, but they weren't from the planet Neogorgon? Fascinating! It's probably for the better, though. Nasty creatures and ruthless with their weapons... It's rare for me to meet a human like you!
[Maybe situations would be better if they weren't currently stuck in a maze and both were trying to figure their way out. So much for trying to show her a new planet.]
Oh that's beautiful, I love it.labyrinthsolvedDecember 6 2011, 00:49:55 UTC
Ruthless with a lot of things. And their King wasn't much better.
[She breathes out a sigh then. There was always something cropping up, complicating her plans. Goblins stealing her baby brother, Julliard turning her away, bad relationships and now a maze.
Sarah pauses to rest her fingertips against one wall, glancing over at the Doctor.]
:D I've been wanting to tag you, but just never found the right prompt/meme to do socaptoftardisDecember 6 2011, 03:32:45 UTC
I'm not sure yet... [He pulls out his sonic screwdriver again, analyzing the wall. Frowning, he sees he's still unsuccessful until it picks up on something in the distance. It could be a door or something else. He wasn't sure quite yet.]
Let's go a bit farther, yeah? I'm picking up on something. [He paused, realizing she had vaguely told him about being trapped in a labyrinth once when she was younger, and gave her a bit of a sheepish look. This was probably a terrible trip. But to be fair, he wasn't expecting the walls to close in on them after exiting the TARDIS.]
;w; Aww, that's sweet. I'm glad you could!labyrinthsolvedDecember 6 2011, 04:49:34 UTC
[She's still rather amazed by that screwdriver, watching as he gives it a frown. The farther question receives a nod and eventually a half-smile from the woman. Her brows rise.]
I believe farther is the only way we really have to go.
[After all, what could you do with a maze or a labyrinth but go further into it. She doesn't seem disturbed by the prospect and catches his sheepish look with brief confusion. Then she looks away, laugh faint.]
[They walk quickly down the halls, the Doctor skimming his fingertips along the wall until the texture changed.] Does this feel different to you...?
[And then his hand gets absorbed, pulling him in. Giving a startled shout, he grabbed Sarah's hand in hopes she'd pull him back. Instead, they both were sucked into a room. The first thing he noticed was ticking of clocks, but not just 1 clock, but perhaps thousands of clocks, and when he blinked his eyes open he saw exactly that. To top it off, there were even clocks suspended from the ceiling.]
You OK? [He looked back to her.]
[ooc: music score nerd alert. This room is brought to you by this song here]
[There isn't even time to answer that. She'd been skimming her fingers too but her own part of the wall hadn't changed in the least.
Then her hand is grabbed. There is just enough time for her, "Hey!" to ring out before she's pulled right along with him. The next few seconds are a sensation of tugging and then sudden release, leaving the brunette to stumble awkwardly into the room itself.
The first thing she manages to do? Hit her head on one of those suspended clocks. A very small one thankfully, a pocket watch she immediately turns towards with what can only be an accusatory glare. She almost reaches out to grab hold of it then quickly thinks better. Don't just react, Sarah, haven't you learned that by now?
And now she's looking over to the Doctor, gesturing a hand quickly.]
I'm fine, I'm okay. I'm good. Just...
[She looks upward and starts to say, "At least it's not one big clock." And then she cuts her words off at "At least". After all, they hadn't found that way through the wall until she had uttered things about
( ... )
[The Doctor moved to take a look at her forehead, but paused at her last statement.]
Someone?
[Oh, she was brilliant, how had he not have noticed that himself? When they left the TARDIS, she was talking about the labyrinth she was in! And the walls changed and these clocks appeared after talking about deadlines - clocks!] OH, HOW COULD I BE SO THICK!?
[He growled and ruffled his hair out of agitation as he paced a small circle, abruptly pausing. He had an idea.] Sarah... Do you suppose there is a clock here that holds a key?
[He spun on his heel to take a look at all the clocks surrounding them in hopes to spot one that looked more ornate than the others or anything that stook out to him as slightly odd.] Hmmm...
[Maybe situations would be better if they weren't currently stuck in a maze and both were trying to figure their way out. So much for trying to show her a new planet.]

Do you think this is a maze or a labyrinth?

At least there's no time deadline to this one.
[... Hopefully?]

[She thinks this over.]
When I ran Jareth's labyrinth, the clock was something of a key. It kept the time after all.
[Now she's looking up amongst all of the other clocks, gesturing with her hands.]
It was big. Ornate, really showy. Jareth couldn't have anything plain or ordinary, I think. Least of all that clock. Maybe one of these...
