Good with me. :3shutupimageniusDecember 14 2011, 03:19:26 UTC
[He proffers the bottle to her, steepling his hands under his chin and tapping his fingertips together in thought with his gaze fixed on the bottle.]
It was in my mailbox, just as it is. Someone wanted me to have it for some reason. Could be dangerous. Certain to be interesting, especially if it's from whom I believe it's from.
[She turns it over in her hands as well, frowning at it.]
You open it yet? Does it smell like anything....cause you know if it smells like almonds, it's cyanide. [She saw that on a mystery show once] Who do you think it's from?
Not yet. And yes, I'm aware. [He can identify plenty of poisons by their odor alone, in fact. He reaches out to take it back, opening it up to sniff it.]
Smells harmless. Quite nice, actually.[He wishes he had some lab equipment with him for a more accurate assessment.] Just a fan of mine. [He holds it out to let her smell.] Would you like some?
he should totally do a lab analysis on it!psychette10December 14 2011, 04:05:59 UTC
A fan? What're you, some kind of celebrity? [Well he was British, it was possible Jackie wouldn't have heard of him living in California. She gives him a dubious look before taking it for a sniff]
...got to be perfume...smells like spices or something. [Sniffsniff] like someone dumped a whole spice rack in it.
he'll make do with the supercomputer he has on hand, haha. XDshutupimageniusDecember 14 2011, 04:25:43 UTC
Not exactly. Well, some might call me infamous, I suppose. [He certainly has the persistent habit of being short with those of substandard intellect. She hasn't annoyed him yet, which is quite the feat, now that he thinks of it.
He nods to her assessment, putting the bottle under his nose again.]
Clove oil, that would explain the spice...hints of eucalyptus and rose. It seems it really is just perfume. Hm. [He sets the bottle down, staring at it as though he could deign the reasoning for receiving it just from staring at it long enough.]
that works! should it still work if inhaled like perfume?psychette10December 14 2011, 08:13:31 UTC
Well there you go, mystery solved...someone sent you perfume. [She picks it up to smell it again and turns it over to dab her wrist, smelling her wrist after] Not really a guys perfume...
Sure, but maybe it takes a little longer so he can be weirded out a bit first XDshutupimageniusDecember 14 2011, 16:43:09 UTC
[He watches in interest as she puts some on, the fact that it was likely Moriarty who sent this making him believe it to be anything but regular perfume. He was sure it had some kind of effect, though he couldn't place what it could be yet. It wasn't poison or acidic, because that would be terribly dull and predictable, so what was it?
He stares at her unblinkingly, waiting to see if it affects her -or himself- at all.]
Do you feel any different? [He asks, believing it could be some kind of hallucinogen or something similar.]
[She gives him a raised eyebrow in return] ...um, should I be? I feel like I've been hiding in a baking cupboard. [Musing as she looks at the bottle] Maybe it takes a minute....perfumes never smell the same on each person.
[Sherlock shrugs a bit, wondering if perhaps this really was just regular perfume and Moriarty was just winding him up by sending it to him.
He waits a long moment, just watching her with a contemplative look as he tried to work it through. It was then that an odd feeling takes over, and he finally starts actually looking at her rather than just staring idly as he tried to figure this out.
He gestures for her to give him her wrist so he can see if it really smells different on her. He finds it does.]
It smells much better on you. [He says genuinely, one of the rare occasions that he was complimenting someone just for the sake of it rather than using it as a tool to get information for a case.

Haven't the faintest idea. [He says, sounding more delighted at that fact than frustrated.]

[And now he's holding her wrist so she smells the other one] ...I don't think it smells that great personally. I'll have to take your word for it.
