...I got a 9. LMAO. Appropriate since that song is now stuck in my head. Set in Nautilus!sixthdeadliestDecember 14 2011, 12:24:39 UTC
[It has been six months since arriving in Nautilus. He still doesn't entirely trust the place, still patrolling about to keep an eye on things, but he's realized that it's (largely) safe here. Everything he did before in their world? Didn't mean anything here.]
[He's been telling himself this whole time that he shouldn't do what he's about to do now. This is taking a huge leap forward that he's not quite sure he can do. What if he ruins everything they have together?]
[What if she's decided that a much better match is here in Nautilus?]
[Caesar isn't home. Rex isn't home. Even Drift had convinced Holiday to let Pato stay with him for a little while. They grew attached... somehow. She even thought that Six was out on some sort of patrol, as usual, until a knock on the door startled her.]
[She put the phone down on her bedside table, having decided on checking the rest of Nautilus, before standing and going to the door. She opened it, almost surprised to Six there... She gave him a smile anyway.]
[Trying and ultimately failing. That nagging urge to tell her had been shattering his concentration. He isn't entirely sure why it is so important. It just is.]
[She steps back, so that he can enter the room, if he even wanted to talk here. What was this about? She didn't like that worried look he was giving her. Hopefully, it was just something that he was over thinking on.]
[She speaks softly to him and almost repeats her earlier question, but instead, she just closes the door behind him and stays quiet. Whatever he wants to say, let him get it out in his own pace.]
[After the "extremely attractive" chant in her brain dims a little, her first thought is curiosity on whether or not there's a storm rolling through...]
[She just checked the network, though...]
[... And the "extremely attractive" chant is back... Give her a minute.]

Am I interrupting anything?
Reply
No. I was just checking the network.
[If you were trying to meditate, she doubted you would do any better while talking...]
Is something wrong?

I wanted to talk to you for a few minutes. In private.

[No pressure.]
Thank you. For letting me talk to you.

It's no problem.

Do you remember what I said to you when you thought you couldn't help Beverly?

I remember...
[... Why?]

[And that's a light blush as he tries and fails to remain stoic.]

Ah. No. It's-
[It's way too amazing to be true, that's what it is. Is she asleep? Did she fall asleep? That's a good reason for all this.]
I, um-
... You feel okay?... Right?
[No storm? No alcohol? No sudden burst of crazy?]

A bad idea, I suppose.
