Rolled 1, 4, 12... Take your pick. *facepalm* distinctive_guy December 21 2011, 01:16:58 UTC
[This job, it beat the Santa job in the mall. This one beat even the shipwreck on the Emerald island. Hell, it beat even going to one of Sophie's opening nights.]

Hurry the fuck up!! I don't have all day!!

[Because he was stuck with James fucking Sterling. AGAIN. Don't think he forgot about the coffee incident.]

ELIOT. I totally giggled with glee, hah. How about 1? Can add in more later, if it works. sterlingwins December 21 2011, 01:42:33 UTC
[This job wasn't at the top of Sterling's list either. Christmas, with all it's good cheer and bright lights and whining children generally rubbed him the wrong way. The only redeeming factor here was that he got to indulge in the rare past-time of harassing Spencer.

Which was to say that Sterling was taking his sweet time as he followed after the Hitter toward the unsuspecting pine trees they were stealing from.]

Calm down, Spencer. I really don't think the trees are going anywhere.

[Dry humor and a biting curl of his lips as he eyed the other man. True, they were on a schedule, but not tight enough to justify Eliot's bitching. That, he knew, was all in regards to the fact that the man hadn't had the opportunity to hit him yet.

And if Sterling was needling at that temper? Well, sometimes he just couldn't help himself.]

It's Sterling, man. How can I not tag a Sterling? distinctive_guy December 21 2011, 02:03:54 UTC
[The growl Eliot sent Sterling's direction was unwarranted, but, being that this was his least favorite Interpol agent, and Eliot actually did know a few, perhaps it was after all. The man got under his skin like a parasite worm in Africa, who's company was about as desirable as one as well.]

Nate's waitin' for this! [Glowering over his shoulder for effect, Eliot trudged on ahead and fixed his eyes on the pines. They were sent to find the perfect tree to make the switch, a job Eliot could've easily done on his own.]

What I don't get is why you have to be here!

[And if Sterling said anything about trust, anything at all, Eliot was going to punch something. Possibly the most annoying man on this side of the hemisphere who stood conveniently, unfortunately for him, behind him.]

Aweh. <3 It's his first thread, so, hope he's doing alright, haha. :) sterlingwins December 21 2011, 02:37:45 UTC
[That growl tugged at the corners of Sterling's lips. He did always take a perverse sort of amusement out of riling Spencer, dangerous past-time though it was. Rather like playing cat and mouse with a jungle cat; Sterling, however, considered himself up to the challenge.]

We rendezvous at 2000. We'll be there in plenty of time without the theatrics.

[They were stealing Christmas. Sterling had always considered himself to be something of a Grinch, but this was a far more literal interpretation than he'd ever imagined.

He arched an eyebrow at Eliot's protest about him being here. Not unexpected, but rather quaint and adorable in its own uniquely-Spencer sort of way. It was, however, a golden opportunity to push at the man's temper. He could have resisted the urge, but where was the fun in that.]

Talk like that and I'll start to think you don't trust me, Spencer.

[Was Sterling trying to get punched in the face? Well. Maybe a little.]

He looks fine to me! ACK, I thought I posted this hours ago!!! No wonder there was no reply. distinctive_guy December 21 2011, 04:21:58 UTC
[Not quite the answer Eliot expected so it saved Sterling from that punch he was itching to deliver. But it was not enough to save the agent from Eliot's intense glare or the derisive snort that signaled, clearly, he thought there was something wrong with the other man.]

I don't. [As if he actually needed to point that out into the open.]

You're the last person I'd trust even if I had to face an FSB death squad alone.

[Unimaginably annoyed, he exhaled noisily and jabbed his finger at a close approximate of the tree they were going to steal.] That one! It's the right height and looks green enough. It'll do.

Oh, yay. <3 Haha, I am magical in many ways, but I can't yet reply to posts I can't see! :-P sterlingwins December 21 2011, 04:55:44 UTC
[Well, Eliot was not too far off on the idea that there was something wrong with him. Sterling was long on self-confidence and determination, and a bit shorter on self-preservation than was strictly healthy. He'd been on the receiving end of Eliot-caliber violence before, and rather than take it as due warning, he almost seemed to be trying to replicate the experience ( ... )

Ooops. I thought Sterling was omnipresent! He should've been able to! distinctive_guy December 21 2011, 05:16:37 UTC
[He did not. He. Did. Not. Just mention the coffee. That was it. Eliot was going to kill him.

Rounding suddenly on his heels in a move that would have knocked the teeth out of a the Interpol agent if the man followed too closely, Eliot leveled a glare intense enough to burn the forest around them. He also clenched his fists by his side, audibly so.]

Cause I know I can take'm out, alright? Did it in '03! Now shut the fuck up and help me get that fuckin' tree, Sterling, or I swear, God help you, I'm goin' to punch you so bad your daughter won't recognize ya.

[[OOC: Oh, I don't mind shipping them.... if there can be a way to ship them without them killing one another. XDD Eliot's about T minus five seconds from killing Sterling.]]

[Oh, yes, yes he did. Sterling was enjoying harassing Eliot far too much; possibly enough to put them behind schedule, if he managed to snap the Hitter's temper. It was a very tempting thought, but he supposed he could skip the lecture that would no doubt come with it. Also, there was a job to be done here. One that could go quite a way toward advancing his career if he positioned himself right (and didn't he always ( ... )

[As Sterling walked away, Eliot could only stare after that back with a moment of dumbfounded amazement for the agent's sheer audacity for those words. What part of his previous words could be translated to wanting anything to do with Sterling!?

Unable to come up with a better response than a low, throaty, animalistic growl, Eliot pushed Sterling out of the way to get to the tree.]

I can't see it's top properly. You're gonna have to go up there to see if we'll be able to fit the star on it.

[Eliot calmed enough to scowl, which turned to a smirk as he looked up the length of the tall tree that was easily 10 foot tall. The star was the whole point of Sterling being there, something about a precious item that the Interpol agent would not let out of his grasp, and Eliot was now using it against him ( ... )

[Sterling smirked as Eliot just growled, clearly at a loss for snappy retorts -- though, really, implying he had any in the first place was giving him a bit much credit. His strange attraction toward the Hitter wasn't because of his witty repartee. He caught his footing as Eliot pushed him, a brief flash of white teeth.

And then his lips curved into a frown, a cock of his head as he lifted an eyebrow. Oh, nicely played. So, he might not be up to banter of the caliber he sometimes enjoyed with Nate, but Eliot did have his moments. He glared at Spencer, and heaved a sigh. He liked this suit, he was really less than thrilled about having to climb up a soon-to-be Christmas tree to see if the star was going to fit on the top ( ... )

[It was incredibly satisfying to watch Sterling clambering up the needle filled tree just to put that a star on top. So satisfying that Eliot didn't even bother hiding his smirk as he agent grumbled the whole way up.

He greeted Sterling's return with his arms crossed and a smug look on his face.]

Yeah, [He answered, in a much better mood than moments before. Seeing Sterling covered in pine needles helped, so did the chance of sticking one to Sterling, quite literally, as he passed by and poked one of the needles further into him.] Haha, you missed one.

[Snarking away, he went to get the a worker at the tree farm to help them move the tree.]

[[OOC: Like you have no idea! They better fix it, or someone better make a layout override. XD I'll take that solution too if LJ won't stop being an ass. And... Personally I ship Moreau/Eliot, but hey, I take any abrasive Eliot action I can get. The only thing that gets in my way of shipping Eliot with Sterling is my Eliot really wants to punch the lights out of Sterling... so I have no idea ( ... )

[Sterling glared at Eliot's obvious amusement, and there was something rather like a yelp as a pine needle was unexpectedly jabbed into his side. That glare turned sharper, his lips curling in a way that seemed to imply bodily harm, but he took a breath and forced something sort of like a neutral expression to his face. He scowled, watching as one of the workers helped them get the tree over to Eliot's truck.

By the time it was securely mounted to Eliot's truck, Sterling had finally managed to get the last of the needles out, having to take his suit jacket off to get at them all. This was just bollocks, really. He spared a glare for the surrounding pine trees as well, as if this was somehow their fault ( ... )

[Eliot's good mood maintained even after the tree was loaded. He was back behind the wheel of his truck, necessity for loading the tree, and there was no Sterling in the seat beside him. He could still hear the man from his open window though.]

First good thing to come from your mouth all day.

[The hitter briefly considered leaving Sterling behind, but figured that in the end, the satisfaction of a quiet trip back and watching Sterling disappear in his rear-view mirror wouldn't be worth Nate's lecture and Sterling's whining. As much as he seriously, and that was seriously, hated it, they still had to work together for the rest of this job.]

Get in before I leave you here!!

[He drummed his fingers impatiently on the wheel and set the radio to a country rock station as he waited. As soon as Sterling climbed aboard, he scowled and drove ( ... )

Annoying each other is like grade-school flirting, right? :P sterlingwins December 23 2011, 02:24:01 UTC
[Sterling, despite his less-than-charming nature decided that now was a good time to actually do what Eliot said before the Hitter chose to drive off without him. It seriously would put a crimp in their plans for this job, aside from the fact of Sterling's sure-to-be-insufferable annoyance.

As he got in and Eliot turned on the radio, Sterling lifted an eyebrow, his face carefully displaying disdain for the man's musical tastes as he shut the door of the truck. Of course, he barely had the door shut before Eliot was pulling out onto the dirty road that lead back to cement paving and, eventually, civilization.]

I can't let you leave me behind, and ruin all our lovely quality time together.

[Sterling did try to annoy Eliot of purpose. It was one of the simple pleasures in life: good scotch, a nicely tailored new suit, and pissing off Eliot.]

[OOC: Not entiiiirely sure where to go from here. If you have an idea, I'll gladly follow, or if you wanna jump, feel free, orrr we can always go steal us another meme. ;) ]

So is rough housing. *Snerk* distinctive_guy December 23 2011, 04:15:10 UTC
[[OOC: Might not be a bad idea to just steal another meme... Or brainstorm a new direction. Or time skip to something else where Eliot can beat up Sterling.

Because if we had to continue, we'll need to plot out how to steal Christmas! XD]]

Hahah, sooo true! :D sterlingwins December 23 2011, 09:44:00 UTC
[OOC: Works for me, you got a preference for which one? I'm pretty easy, though, something where they can fight sounds perfect. Of course, could always just handwave the details of the job and say everything worked out, and somehow Eliot and Sterling end up alone, Eliot gets punchy, et cetera, et cetera.

Sterling's flexible, heh.]
