[She's tired. She's tired and he's standing right there.
That's the Only Reason her arms are sliding around Tegan's waist from behind. So she can settle her cheek against his spine and rest here for a moment while he holds her up.]
...then take me to the couch. [She's certainly not going to help them with forward motion. It's easier to nuzzle here against his shoulder-blades.] Like a gentleman.
[Or counter with "don't whine." Because she doesn't care that it comes out whiny as she uncurls herself and stretches her arms into the air, face pulled into a rather petulant expression--at least as expressions on D'Arcy's face go.]
[Anyone else would have found her nails in their eyes for startling her with human contact like that. Tegan? Tegan just gets her nose wrinkling and her fingers digging into his shirt.
She'll be camping out on his lap, thank you very much. Probably for a nap. A faintly cuddly lap.
Don't tell anyone she likes to snuggle when she's sleepy.]
Because D'Arcy cuddles are the sort of rarity that he hoards jealously -- though the couch really is probably a whole lot comfier. Or decidedly less muscle-y.

That doesn't mean there won't be an amused huff or an arched eyebrow, though.]
Not that I'm complaining, but I believe the couch is comfier.

[Out from under her, no less. Though if she wants a gentleman than a gentleman is what she'll have -- well, as near as dammit anyway.]

[He's become rather adept at reading her expressions -- it's rather hard not too, living more or less in each other's pocket for so many years.
It's also why he'll be scooping her up into his arms with nary a complaint, carrying her bridal-style across the room to the very comfortable sofa.]
