"I don't...I..." She finally stops pacing and flings herself at him, clinging to his arms, silently begging him to make it better.

"How long?" The idea of running again scares her more than the idea that she's...pregnant. If he were a dragon, then she'd know exactly what to expect. He's NOT. She doesn't even know if there's going to be eggs involved here.

He hugs her tight and long, just as worried as she is about everything. "A year perhaps," he says, "the child or children would be old enough that possibly they would be safe."

"Children." Oh that just makes it twice as bad...or three times or worse. "How would we do it. We have charges who expect us to be here and we can not bend the runs of time like some can."

"I am sure we could think of a place," Alex says not willing to give up just yet.

"You know more about Fae than I do." And that makes her feel terrible, for some reason. "Where so you think we should go?"

"The Wilds," Alex says, "Nathan's clans would hide us."

"If Nathan knows then the others will know." Nope, she's not letting anyone Fae related know about this. Think of what would happen to both her and Alex. This is exactly what she was afraid of.

"But we know so little about the human world....we would stick out like...thumbs...sore one as the saying goes."

Embre's mind is racing then. Somewhere safe, somewhere they won't be missed but can hide this from people.

"DOCTOR!" She shouts without really thinking it though. She doesn't even know how to reach Future!Jack, let alone his Time Lord friend.

Alex looks confused having never met the Doctor before. "I don't understand," he says.

"The box. The TARDIS." Embre wraps her fingers around his arm. "It can hide in plain sight, and take you anywhere you may wish in time and space. Elizabeth trained with him and none of the others knew she had even gone until she returned."

"Would it be safe for us," Alex asks truly concerned.

"Of course." Embre has spent more time on the TARDIS than most, though she'd not sure if the Doctor she traveled with before would be in the right state of mind to help them keep safe. He's a bit reckless.

"There is no place safer in the universe, they say. But I do not know how to reach them."

"The Gatekeep....Jack will, are they not friends," Alex points out.
