[ He nods. ] I'll stay around here. [ Of course he will. Maybe Mycroft's over protectiveness had rubbed off on him? At any rate he'll be keeping his eyes on the blokes who will be coming and going. ]
[She squeezes his arm before sending him on his way. 'Business' is slow and she gets away with mostly kisses on the cheek. A few are sneaky, but she manages to keep them in line, if only for the sake of raising money. Out of the corner of her eye, she spots John, and a secret smile appears on her face.]
[ When she sends him on his way he doesn't go far, and he makes quick rounds on the booth every three minutes. He only goes down to one end to the other just in case something happens. Eventually he stops and just stands across from the booth and eyes the bigger blocks coming up. ]
[The man is overly complimentary, which unsettles Mary somewhat, but she tries to be friendly, while establishing some sort of boundaries. She manages a quick kiss on his cheek after he makes a donation.]
[For a moment, Mary fears this man will do something drastic, but she supposes that he thinks she isn't worth the trouble. As he walks away, she breathes a sigh of relief and gives John a few kisses on the cheek. ]
[ John watches the man go and then eyes the other sin line so that they know not to mess with Mary or her scary, ex-Army sort-of-boyfriend will not allow it. ]
Of course. You're okay? [ He turns concerned eyes on her. ]
[She finishes off the last round before the next lady takes helm of the booth. Quickly retrieving her things, she rushes to find John, wrapping her arms around him from behind.]

And despite Mary's modest protests, he doesn't seem to be taking no for an answer.]
