[So they had been running, right? The building they had totally crashed been sleeping in was conveniently possessed and took them a good hour or so in getting away. They were far more cautious in the next building they had picked (old aristocratic colonial home, yay!) as the Doctor stood close behind Rose, peaking over her shoulder, past the wall.
And then, something vibrated. It took a second for the Doctor to figure out what it was, then realized it was her phone in her back pocket of her jeans.]
Prolly your mum... [But as soon as it stopped, it began again, and Oh, hello! That kind of tickles!
[She grins and stifles a laugh of her own. It's positively terrible of him to laugh at her friend's misfortune! Terrible!] More useful making calls out really.
Yes, yes I suppose so, which is better than your mum making calls at the worst of time. [And the embarrassment of the effect it had on him. For what it was worth, he shouldn't have been standing that close to her.]
[Well...for what it's worth, she didn't mind him ever standing that close. It's just...normal to her.] D'you wanna call mum and try to tell her not to ring whenever she wants?
N-No! That's quite all right. She's your mum and everything; I couldn't do that. Besides, our schedules are vastly different from Earth's most of the time, there's no way we could regulate that.
[Yep. She thought that'd end the discussion. Her mother is a great trump card. She tries not to be too obviously amused when she grins, she really does.] Yeah, that's what I figured, too. Mum can't help when she calls, right?
Right. [Even when it was at the most inconvenient time with him pressed up against... Stop it! It was embarrassing and he would like to think it didn't happen! At least she didn't notice anything, or at least didn't say as much.]
[Even if she noticed anything, she'd have discounted it, because the Doctor...doesn't dance or ever want to. It's one of those facts of traveling she accepts without question, because what they have is more important than any dancing ever could be.] Y'know if it's such a problem, I s'pose you could keep it in your pocket? They're bigger on the inside, right?
[She still doesn't really get why he's being so dramatic about her phone all of a sudden, but that might be a tiny grin of triumph once he concedes. She'll just hide it in the pillow and snuggle up to his shoulder. On the bright side, she's not thinking about creepy haunted houses anymore.]
Mhm. As long as it's not lost to the mouse-alligator kingdom in there. [She's...just making things up now, probably, and poking fun at the pockets. A little.]
You're in luck, there are no such kingdoms in my pockets! [And of course he'd be wanting to mention how annoying it was to have such an item in his pocket, but the truth was he didn't really feel it.]
[She suspects he doesn't feel anything in there because seriously how would he ever be comfortable? Regardless, now that she's not wound up about the house she is feeling a bit sleepy, so forgive her if she's a bit snuggly and nodding off-ish.]
Mm, good. Cos you'd have to shrink down and go in after it.

Most definitely not a good time.]

With a heavy sigh, he took her phone and placed it in his trouser pocket.] Out of sight, out of mind.

[But he couldn't help enjoying the snuggles, so he tried his best to behave.]
