Thor - Thor / The Avengers [movie-verse]

[he had meant below, and Clint is right so Thor merely frowns at him. Stubborn man.

He glances upward at the gaping hole, believing it won't take long before the blockage he had ensued before it would be overcome.] We had to get below - I heard them speak of another chamber... and I was right.

[he nods ahead where there are flickering green and blue lights.] Do you see.

[Hawkeye was obviously still mighty pissed off about the whole splitting up earlier thing and stalked across the rubble strewn ground while being careful not to fall into the crevasse Thor had just created in the floor.]

This is gonna stop right here, Goldilocks. My mission, my orders, you got it? No more running off on your own. [It was obnoxious that he had to tilt his head back to glare up at the taller man. Clint's finger jabbed against Thor's chest but with the armor the Asgardian wore all he did was succeed in bruising his own blasted finger.]

[he can feel his lips quirk, but smiling would prove unwise now. What Thor wanted to do more than anything else was reach out and touch, prevent Clint from perhaps knocking his whole fist readily next...]

Very well - if you cease delays. Now, shall we proceed - Tony can be impatient, as Fury is.

This is a personal bout now, Clint - I will not hesitate. But I shall concede to your orders since you ask me.

[a heated look at the 'you' part. He doesn't speak. Because Clint should just know, Thor thinks to himself.]

[The archer's blue eyes narrowed when he saw the subtle twitch of Thor's mouth.]

Stark and Fury can both bite the whitest part of my lily white ass, you and I are gonna get this shit out of the way first, alright?

[A muscle jumped in Clint's jaw as he bit back on his temper.] And no more trying to cave the fuckin' ceilings in. You might be able to hold up a couple tons of rock but I'd just as soon not get turned into a pancake today.

[he nods.] There will be no need to cave anymore - that was enough. Now, come. [he steps around him, but stills. Waiting for him to go ahead of him.]

They went through there or some place else? [Irritated though Clint might be, he wasn't foolish enough to let his annoyance get ahead of common sense. He hadn't seen where the troops had been pouring out of because he'd never even made it to the ground and thus he was relying on Thor to lead the way.]

[he nodded ahead.] Where the lights are is the base. I believe there could be something useful from here we can take back.. some form of - [he trailed off. Clues to who was talking to who, why they were trying to capture them. Tony would know at the very least. Thor was cautious with such things.]

Right, let's check it out then. [Clint agreed and walked over to where they could dimly see light filtering underneath what was obviously a false wall. Now, he could have just hit it with one of his exploding arrows but who knew what was on the other side or what kinds of booby-traps were set up.]

Well. [Thor exclaimed softly as they happened upon the supply. Sure enough, explosives of any sort, missiles... knock-offs that were untested, danger to those who stored them as well as their enemies, they covered every inch of the floor-base.] Evidence, I believe we wanted...

Uh, yeah I'll say. [Hawkeye said, eyes wide with surprise and a healthy amount of trepidation.] I gotta call this in. Stark needs to know about this.

[The blond man tried to raise the Avengers on their comm systems but all he got was a burst of static.] Must be interference from all this crap. Gonna try and get a hold of them above ground. You good here?

[he was walking around, looking at all the mishappen boxes and packing, a wave of his hand towards him.] Of course, friend.

[he glanced up then, smiling warmly.] I believe we can leave soon, too, yes?

Just be careful? Don't want to set something off on accident. [Clint cautioned and made his way over to the gaping hole in the ceiling. Unlike Thor, he didn't have a freaking magical hammer to help him fly and had to settle for using one of his grappling arrows and climbing up out of that damned pit the hard way.]

Hawkeye to the Avengers, come in?

I have enough sense, Clint. [he murmurs, voice a little stern. It's a little comical to watch him - but Thor knows his offer to help wouldn't be taken well, perhaps.

Taking a step back, out of the corner of his eyes, he caught movement in the darkness and twisted, alert.] Hm...

[He slanted a look over his shoulder that practically screamed 'Bullshit']

[The archer was so occupied in phoning in their information that he didn't even see the man sneaking up on him until it was too late. A steel-toed booted foot slammed into Clint's solar plexus and sent the blond man falling backwards down into the pit.]

[Clint only had a split second to register that he was falling and did what he could to twist in mid-air in an attempt to avoid most of the rubble that had once comprised the wooden stairs leading into the cellar.] TH-

[He tried to form a coherent cry for his partner to be on his guard but all the blond managed was a squawk and then he hit the ground with an audible thump that knocked the wind out of him and had Hawkeye's vision greying.]

[about the same time as the assault on Clint was the first strike on Thor below. He knew for certain guns were not supposed to be shot near these things which made him realise all too quickly -- these men didn't care about the danger or if they got out alive. Was the purpose then to kill them if they didn't stop them?

Thor twisted around, Mjolnir raising up sharp as Clint fell and he turned his eyes in shock at the fast fall - starting forward just as a sharp hiss, like gas, emerged from their left. An acrid smell that he knew wasn't anything good. His body imposed between his friend and the darkness where they were being targetted...]

Clint. One of us has to go back! [he whispered harshly, as the air darkened outside, the wind picking up... his eyes narrowing.]
