Got a 4, if that's okay? Maybe he could have kidnapped her?mmorstanMarch 13 2012, 03:35:35 UTC
[Poor Mary never meant to intervene. All she had meant to do was provide John and Sherlock with information they needed regarding a family of a student in her class. But of course someone would have known. Someone always knows.
She had been on her way to market when she had been knocked out and taken away.]
Works as him kidnapped too. He can't be perfect everytime.criminalspiderMarch 13 2012, 03:59:28 UTC
[[He's so going to hate me later, though >_<;]]
[Jim prides himself on having the upper hand in every situation -even in new territory.
These men from Infratribe, or whatever the hell they were called, were impressive, however. He hadn't even gotten past his greetings when they had him on his knees and then on the ground, knocked out.
He was not happy when he came around, with the cold feeling around his left wrist.]
Haha, wonderful! I just wanted to check~mmorstanMarch 13 2012, 04:07:01 UTC
[Mary is still unconscious when Jim comes to, tied to metal chair. The room is long and impersonally white with a door at the very end, if they can reach it. There is a camera fixed at that end, a single red light blinking at the two of them.
After a moment, Mary groans softly, the blood on her cheek drying, a scar formed on her cheekbone.]
[He looks over at the sound of her groan, taking her in and where the other loop of the cuffs on his wrist end.
Fantastic, so not only was he anchored to this woman, but she was pretty well bound. Even without a cursory check of either of them, Jim figured there wouldn't be anything left to them to allow him an easy escape.
Might as well see if his new "companion" could be of any use. He slaps her lightly on the uninjured side of her face.]
Hey. Hey, you! Come on, up you get! [He's being somewhat gentle, but there's definitely desperation and annoyance in his voice]
[Mary blinks, startled at the sudden touch and she turns her head slowly. It takes a moment for her vision to clear before she is fully alert, sitting up in her chair. Perfect.]
I'm awake, I'm - I'm awake. [Unfortunately. With her free hand, she reaches for her pocket. Of course her mobile was taken.] Hell.
[There's a small sense of pride that swells within her, and she glances over her shoulder.] I - I don't think they expected me to put up such a fight in heels. [Instinct had her assault one of her attackers with her shoe. Surely John would be proud of her.]
[He chuckles a bit at her thinking she put up a fight. Against the people they're dealing with: it wouldn't have been much more a temper tantrum to them.]
Thugs sent from a new bunch of tech-criminals -or I assume just the thugs. Didn't catch any faces from my angle, but they're likely hired help anyway. [That's what Jim'd do, anyway.]
How much can you move, my dear? I think can get most of these ties if you have a fair range with your right arm.
[Mary shifts her shoulders a little. There's a few centimeters of room for her to move around.] Enough to move a little bit, though I don't think I can pull my arm through as it is.
[Jim shifts back around to get a better look at her.] School teacher, yeah? Kids have parents. Parents do dumb things with the wrong people. They stress at their kids, who get noticed by school teachers, who can in turn do dumb things to try to help them.
[He moves back behind her quickly, not eager to argue that statement. He's started at big knot, and it's close to loose.] Arm doesn't need to go through: up and down a bit'll do for most of these. It'll be a mite uncomfortable, though.
[Oh, he has to explain, does he? He's not Sherlock, but he can certainly observe...]
You have the legs of someone who's on their feet all day, white board marker stains on your hands, and you're not showing any cleavage. Could just be a conservative office, but schoolmarm's more likely. [Not to mention he has some good spies on John Watson.
Through most of the easy knots now, just the awkward-to-reach-if-he-wants-to-use-both-his-hands anchor left.] Bare with me for a minute, you're almost off.
[Mary lifts her brow, of course. Another Sherlok-type, then, eh? What luck she has. She does shift her body to allow Jim the use of his cuffed hand. Yes, it's just a little uncomfortable, but nothing too awful. Nothing compared to what else those hired thugs or tech criminals could do to her, anyway. John, where are you?]
Takes quite a few tugs, and teeth when he finally concedes Mary can't bend quite that far, but the anchoring knot's undone.] Alright, up you get. Let's see if they didn't make the way out of here easy out of cockiness.

Yeah, got that far. Might want to catch up, honey.
[He moves behind her, trying to figure out her bonds.]
Shit, you must've pissed them off good if they tied you up to match.

Who has done this to us? Did you see?

How did you know all that? They didn't tell you, did they?

[She sighs, stretching her back and relieving a crick in her neck as she gets to her feet. It's a struggle, but she stands upright.]
