It's Santana's turn to run the Cheerios kissing booth, and business is dragging. While Santana's more than happy this gig gets her out of Spanish for Dipshits with Schuester, it also means everyone is in class and no one is wandering the halls. The few who have free periods she's gotten, and the remaining time, she's been texting Caroline. Except Caroline hasn't answered her in the past few minutes, and Santana has just gotten concerned when she looks up and sees her. "Hey beautiful," she calls out. "Looking for a kiss?"
Caroline was, by nature, a jealous person. She couldn't help it, it was just who she was. So when she heard that Santana was working the kissing booth for the Cheerios she tried to convince herself it was no big deal. It wasn't like they were dating, in fact, Caroline was still pretty confused about it all herself. They'd only kissed once, which was surprising even to her, considering it wasn't like she'd ever even been interested in a girl. But Santana had been different and there had been this undeniable chemistry between them from the first moment they'd met. Still, one kiss was one kiss and sitting in her History class at McKinley while Santana was off kissing God knows who. They'd spent the first part of class texting back and forth but soon enough, Caroline's jealousy curiosity got the best of her and she got a hall pass to go to the bathroom. Santana smirked at Caroline's attempt at a cover-up. Even if she hadn't known Caroline for quite a while now, she still would have been able to see through that act. She was kind of transparent.
"Oh yeah? Well, you already passed one," Santana pointed out, gesturing down the hall to the left, where Caroline had just come from. She'd already had to have passed one set of bathrooms to get all the way over by the gym, where Sue had set up the kissing booth. "Try again."
Caroline rolled her eyes, silently cursing herself. She so could've thought of a better excuse! Now she looked totally lame and she wished she had just stayed in class instead of trying to spy on Santana. Ugh, she was so stupid!
"Oh right." She tried to play it off, rolling her eyes again and laughing at herself. "I'm so stupid, I totally walked right past it. I'm still getting used to where everything is and sometimes I just get turned around." It sounded good in theory, but her blush completely betrayed her.
Santana might have bought that if Caroline hadn't been blushing so intensely. She knew very well where the bathrooms were by now. She had never come off as getting easily lost, like Brittany did. It was cute, though, that she was trying so hard to pretend she hadn't come looking for Santana.
"Admit it," Santana smirked, resting her chin in her hand. "You were totally coming to check up on me."
"Fine. Whatever." Caroline finally relented. There was no denying this one, it was way too obvious. "I was. But it wasn't like I was coming to check up on you, I was just..." She lifted her shoulders in a shrug. "Okay, I was totally checking up on you." Now she seemed like a complete stalker and Santana was probably going to think she was crazy or something. Hey, at least she hadn't compelled anyone to stay away from her! Well, not yet, anyway.
Santana didn't think it was stalkery at all. "You're cute," she commented, smiling. She really liked Caroline, and after that kiss they'd shared, she wanted nothing more then to kiss her again. Things weren't quite awkward, but they just weren't really sure what to do. Caroline had never been with a girl, and Santana didn't want to push anything on her. She'd tried to push a relationship on Brittany and been shot down, gotten together with her, then dumped in the end anyway. She wanted Caroline to make the next move.
Caroline shook her head, rolling her eyes again, that blush growing even deeper. She didn't agree at all. "You mean lame and totally pathetic." She didn't know what it was about Santana that did this to her. It was all so new, but Caroline really liked her and the thought of her kissing someone else made her jealous and everyone who knew Caroline knew she didn't do well with jealousy.
"Not lame or pathetic. Just jealous," Santana teased her. She let her eyes move over Caroline's body. She was so ridiculously hot, and Santana was insanely attracted to her. She had only kissed her once, but she was more than ready to do it again. And again, and again, and again. "You gonna come closer? Or are you afraid I have cooties or something?"
"I'm not jealous!" Caroline exclaimed, her eyes growing wide. "Why would I be jealous, it's not like--" Santana's eyes dragging over her like that made Caroline lose her train of thought and her stomach tightened as the butterflies started to flutter like crazy. Caroline bit her bottom lip as her eyes locked on those brown ones that were staring at her so intently and she started to take a step. But then, out of nowhere, someone stepped around her. "If you're not gonna take your turn, then I'm just gonna go ahead, because there's no way in Hell I'm missing out on a kiss from Santana Lopez

Santana stood up, waiting for the guy to come over here, hand over his dollar and get his kiss. But suddenly, he seemed to be having some sort of staring contest with Caroline and he stopped. She watched, her eyebrows furrowing together in confusion. That was good money about to walk away from her! He looked a little dazed as he walked past her, muttering something about finding 'Lauren'.
Santana's eyes snapped up to Caroline suspiciously. "Did you just chase that guy off?" She was so, SO jealous. It was hilarious. She wanted to grab her and kiss her. "You owe me a dollar."
A slow smirk spread across her face as the guy started walking away to find Lauren. She was very pleased with herself. Santana's voice snapped her out of it and she turned to face her, giving a look of mock indignation. "Fine. Here." Caroline pulled a $20 bill out of her pocket and handed it to Santana with an arch of her brow and a smirk at her lips. Clearly her compulsion had given her some confidence. "I think that'll cover it." With that, Caroline reached forward, grabbing the front of Santana's Cheerios uniform and pulling her closer, crushing their lips together.
