2. David and Rachel reconcile - ultimate ass-kicking team-up optional.
3. David skips town after turning on the Animorphs instead of hanging around to fight an unwinnable fight.
4. David gets talked out of chasing that damn blue box in favor of a more constructive hobby. I don't know, Yahtzee or something.
5. David gets over himself and puts his powers to good use somehow.
6. David joins someone's Legion of Doom. Let's face it, it was probably only a matter of time...

Right now he's having trouble looking him in the eye. Out of all of them, Tobias was the last one he wanted to come to. What can you say to a guy you 'killed'? But the others are all in school right now, reeling from his midnight attack. And he hasn't gotten much sleep himself either.

Fiercely glaring down. It's late morning, but he'd been trying to catch a little sleep after being awake all night.

< 'Sorry I turned traitor and tried to kill two of you, I can make it okay now? >

"I'm here, aren't I? I could have left town. Or gone after the others in school."

He's still got Marco's morph - not that he's gonna bring that up. Probably not a good idea.

"Okay. I want to make this okay. I don't know how, but... look, I was scared, okay? You, the others, you're all used to this stuff. I'm not. Do you even get that?"

< Back up a minute here. You were planning to go after them at school? >

Jerking his head, wishing he could glare and mean it. < ... Yeah. I do. Listen... >

< Stay here where I can watch you for now. > Lame. He can't think of anything else on the spot. Too tired, and Jake's the one with the plans.

"Yeah, but I didn't did I? I came here."

He'd half-thought he wouldn't find anyone. Yeah, he'd seen it was a red-tail that attacked him during his fight with Rachel, but there was a longshot it could have been Cassie. Or someone they didn't tell him about. It was still a bit of a shock to see someone he'd definitely killed alive and well like it was no big deal.

"Man, I... I don't know what to do." He's half-talking to Tobias, half-talking to himself. "Maybe it was stupid to even come here. Maybe I should just get out of town. 'Make this right'? I killed you.."

"Yeah, I know. That's why I came after you first. Before you'd come after me."

Ax will be around eventually, and take over guard duty so Tobias can go tell the others...

Yeah, no kidding. Sitting alone in the woods with a hawk staring down at him. Not his idea of a good time.

He shrugs, not really looking Tobias in the eye. "I don't know."

He knows. He just doesn't want to admit it out loud.

Who really looks a hawk in the eye? < Jake's going to ask you too, so you might as well spill. >

"Is Jake gonna kill me?" Yeah, that's him trying to duck the question, but that's also him admitting, in his own messed up way, how little he trusts Jake now. Or any of you, really.
