Well this was most definitely not what the Doctor had been expecting. A space western, perhaps? Was there any proper way of describing how there was a serious miscommunication?

"I've been to a planet where wiggling your eyebrows is a form of communication, but I've never been to one where winking was a threat!" They had just rounded the corner of the building just in time as a bullet sped past them.

[look, it is possible to roll your eyes whilst running for your life from a bunch of really pissed-off looking... whatever the Hell these things are! Don't think, Allie, just run!]

Seriously, you couldn't -- [she ducks as one sails over her shoulder, grazing the sleeve of her top.

Thank fuck - thank fuck it was the one with the strap of her bag on it. She grips it to keep the cord from snapping and losing her things as they round a corner.] - You couldn't have thought about that sooner?!

"They seemed friendly enough!"

They were in an alley. Right, alleys were good, until he realized it dead-ended a little sooner than he'd like. Not so good!

He pulled himself up on a dumpster and helped her up with him. "I'll boost you over the wall, yeah?"

Wha - [she would have protested here, asked if this meant he wanted to leave her behind - but the loud cries of their assailants gaining on them made Allie nod grimly and she gave him a tight smile.] No problem - but - you're following, right? [as she lifts her leg up, hands pressing to his shoulders to steady -]

"I'm not sticking around long enough to see how well they can aim and shoot their guns!"

He hoists her up to the wall, waiting to make sure she's alright, then jumps up and awkwardly scrambles with his sneakers up and over himself. Once on top, he sits there for a moment. "Erm, quite a bit ways down, huh?"

But they didn't have much of a choice unless they decided to go across roofs.

Eh - who's afraid of a broken leg? [she tries to wave off his concern but - phew. That's a long-ass way down! Allie glances at the guy, pale but determined.]

Any other way? This wall... if we - [she can hear those things below, pretty pissed. It won't take them long to get over here if they really want to -- she tries to get her legs higher, stands gingerly.. looking around.]

Hey - pipes on the wall! Maybe there's windo - oh, whoa -! [-- and almost slips off. Crouching down her chin bumps the wall but she stays on, muttering to herself -] Shit, shit. Oh shit!

He was definitely taking a hard consideration of traveling across the rooftops when she slipped.

"Oh hey!" He grabs her arm, trying to stabilize her and himself. "You alright?" Now's the time to really make a decision, down or across.

"Well, now we're in this situation, do you think you're still interested trying to latch onto those pipes?"

[she gripped his coat sleeve tight as she tried not to lean into him too much - it'd upset both their precarious balance!

Allie blew out a breath and looked at him like he were crazy a moment. Connecting the words to image and then sense. It seemed like their only shot. She nodded.]

Up for giving me another boost there, Beanpole? [hey - guy was thinner than a rake.]

"Oi! I'm not a beanpole!"

He looked over at the roof, wondering how well this might or might not go well. "Alright, I'll give you a good boost, yeah?" And he did exactly that, moving quickly enough with an upward momentum that she'll have exactly what she needed to reach the pipes or even the edge of the rooftop.

Voices grew louder and he followed quickly after her as figures were getting closer and closer to them.

[ah, crap. She wasn't too sure about this plan all of the sudden!]

Uh... you know, maybe we -- shit! [she ducked down, her knees bending as a wrench - a fucking wrench! - is thrown just where she had been, head-level.

Allie drew up angrily, and turned to face the oncoming storm of mob and, apparently, debris!] Oi, you short ugly bastards!

"Don't provoke 'em!" He grabbed her hand and tugged. "We need to leave!"

Their assailants were already frustrated at them and rather persistent on chasing after them, of which the Doctor really would rather not stick around for. Today, and people armed with weapons, did not make him want to spend any more time around.

[all but ready to fly at them, she had taken a step forward, and wobbled again --] Argh - fine! [she took a leap towards him, for the boost!]

It all happened so quickly that the next thing the Doctor knew was they were both latched onto the piping of the wall to the next building.

"You alright? Don't you dare fall off!"

Fu -- it's not like I'd be alive to bitch about your complaining if I do! [she retorts, arms tensing as her eyes shut tight a moment with effort. She can't believe this! Allie tries to lift and bend her legs, looking much like a crab as she scrambled for some footing before slipping. A brief scream and lower rung of piping later, she's not in a hurry to try that again -] Now what?!

"Breathe and stay calm! See if you can open move to that window." He did the same, scrambling less than gracefully, and with the aid of his sonic screwdriver, opened his window and slipped inside.

"Give me just a tic! I'll be there to help!" And he took off running through the room, down the hall to the stairwell and forced his way into the office that belonged to Allie's window. Really, he was moving as fast as he could to help her inside!
