"I would hope so," There's a spark of some of his usual humor there, laying just below the surface as he reaches down to grip the breaks of his chair, locking the wheels in place. Gripping the board he removed it from his lap, setting it on a slightly raised table (the older one, far too low to be comfortable in his chair, and then began setting the pieces out. "Otherwise I've brought this down for nothing." A soft smile as he set the pieces out, black for Erik as usual.

"I've been well," He let out a soft murmur as he slid his fingers over the pieces, tracing the familiar shapes for a few moments. Finally he grabs a pawn and slides it forward two paces. "And how have you been?" His tone is surprisingly soft, relaxed, for someone who was sitting in the same room with the famed 'Magneto'.

Emma can't not fuck with Charles... sorry... ii - 3 - relationship? stonecoldfrost August 13 2011, 08:43:47 UTC
Emma tilted her head as she smiled a little, fingers running down the chains that held Charles captive. Her blue sparkled, her lips still curved as she held his gaze. She didn't need to open her mouth to communicate with him after all.

Comfortable, darling?

Don't be sorry~ :D Relationship you can roll on, or it can be the usual. :) butwedonot August 13 2011, 08:49:03 UTC
He twitched, just faintly to pull himself to the side and away from her-- it wasn't far, but just enough to prove his distaste. A grit of teeth as bright blues flickered up, tracing over her mouth and scowling even more at the obvious pleasure she was getting from this.

Just peachy.

Does their usual even have a name? Frenemies? LOL stonecoldfrost August 13 2011, 08:56:35 UTC
Emma's bottom lip came out in a pout before she crouched down in front of him, fingers still hooked lightly around the chains.

Come now, Charles, don't look at me like that. I tried asking you nicely, but you wouldn't listen. At least this way I have your rapt attention. Even if I would have preferred tying you up with silk to a headboard.

That's the closest guess I've got. butwedonot August 13 2011, 09:01:52 UTC
He snorted at the pout, not at all moved by the expression-- though it was hard to be considering he was chained up. His eyes flickered to the side before back to her own blues. He twisted his wrist a bit but found it did him little good but chaffing the soft skin there.

I'm sure you would've. It's short, and perhaps a tad snappy. What is it you want?

Emma dropped her hand from the chains, elbow bracing against her knee as she rest her chin in her hand. Truth was she could quite happily do this all day. She realised she had a serious kink when it came to tying people up. She just chose to blame years of being with Sebastian Shaw for it. He'd corrupted her long before she had a chance to discover anything remotely normal when it came to interacting with people. Growing up she'd been practically a wallflower, and a loner. As soon as she had walked into the Hellfire Club she'd become the complete opposite under Shaw's watchful eye.

She arched an eyebrow, the pout disappearing instantly. I told you. Your undivided attention. No students to distract you. No Erik as a shield. Just you and me discussing your latest--

"--Well, what should we call them? Your latest enrolment?"

He was tempted to pretend to ignore her if it wasn't for the fact that it would be quite a uncomfortable situation seeing as he couldn't get away. He grinds his teeth,

My students? What about them? Not that he would provide her with too much information, mostly for the safety of the aforementioned children.

Emma tilted her head again, trying to catch his gaze when she realised it had drifted off. No, there really would be no ignoring her. She reached out to brush her fingers through his hair almost tenderly. A small part of her really did regret their current situation. But the larger part was quite clearly still in charge.

Not all of them, dear. So let go of the breath you're holding. I'm only interested in three. Although sometimes I wonder if they should be considered more as one person. They do so work well as a unit. The triplets. The telepaths.

He scowled at the feel of her hand combing through those thick tufts of hair. He turned his head away, a show of displeasure, but his eyes never left her. Far too wary of her actions to allow himself to do so. Frost was a creature he thought he had some understanding of; clearly he had been wrong.

I won't let you take them, if that's what you're aiming for, but I'm sure you already know that.

As much as Emma wanted to redeem herself, wanted to prove that she wasn't all bad, there would always be something to pull it undone. She would slip back into old habits.

She took a breath and moved, reaching out to undo one of the manacles.

We both know I'm the better tutor for them. For all my faults, I will take care of those girls.

HE stared for another few moments, jaw working as if he was trying to find the words before his hands fisted at his sides and he just settled for glaring-- because being angry was far easier than being upset. Though resisting both was a challenge at the time being.

"You're not sorry at all-- Wesley, you're never sorry!" He has to take a few steps back, give himself some space because his brother's attitude is crossing that line and making the whole situation that much more painful. "You knew... you knew how I felt, and you didn't care." It wasn't an accusation, it was a statement, they were both vividly aware of this fact and that just made Charles hurt more. "I can't believe you."
