[She's just going to hug now. It's completely sudden and possibly awkward, but Ariel does it without any sort of hesitation. So, yes, faintly sea scented young lady, clinging happily like there's no tomorrow.]
/goes for already together? ^^;wantedtofindherApril 30 2012, 17:31:00 UTC
Whoa - [he smiles, easily enough, one large hand moving to stroke against and into her hair as he lets her lean close, back to the counter of the store as they move in line. Clay has all but forgotten his craving for coffee right now, and how long they've been waiting.] Mm.. hey.
[Elena's bad mood from last night, the one that led to the excessive drinking, seemed to fade out on her walk (piggyback ride) home with Clay.
Though that didn't mean she didn't have a killer hangover the next morning. Not inclined in the slightest to deal with any of the usual suspects today, ie; Jeremy, Damon, etc., Elena packed up a few things and left the house. She headed for a place of solitude and peace, because lord knows how she needed that.
It was just a small clearing at the edge of the woods near the cemetery, creepy perhaps to most, but at least quiet. Besides, she couldn't even see the cemetery from where she laid out her blanket to lay down in the sun. Settling in, she sighed and played with the edges of her diary she had brought along. She had planned to write, but she kept thinking about the guy from last night and...well, wasn't her life confusing enough already?]
[his own day had consisted of a rude awakening hours after he had finally given in to mental exhaustion and slept.. so Clay was on his fifth coffee as he walked past said cemetary. They didn't bother him, abd he actually preferred the peace they mostly had during the day.
He doesn't see her at first, the warm steam passing his lips before the drink.. but then he rounds an old marble tombstone and there she is... her brown hair fanning out behind her in the breeze.] Hey.. Elena?
[Blinking her eyes open at the familiar voice, Elena turns her head to peer over at him before propping herself up on her elbows, casting Clay a small smile. Speak of the devil...]
Hey. You know, it's sorta creepy lurking around a cemetery. [She teased, eyes flickering over his face, noting the tired look to his own eyes.]
Relax, Elena, I just got here remember? [he smiles a little before gesturing with his fingers raised outward from the cup.] You expecting anyone or can I sit.
Ah, right, yeah... [She wasn't drunk. And she was still an idiot.
Scooting over, she shifted her hand with her diary and shoved it beneath the blanket (didn't want him reading that, then he'd certainly think she was crazy).]
Oh, no, you can sit if you want. I was just...soaking up some sun. Taking in the quiet.
You don't seem hungover. [he comments as he stretches his longer legs out in front of him, leaning back to the back of an eroded gravestone so he could stills top his coffee.]
[Chuckling a bit sheepishly at the reminder of her drunkenness, she ducked her head a bit.]
A lot of water. And ibuprofen. [She admitted, eyes on him as he settled down with her on the blanket.] There's also a reason I came out here for the quiet...couldn't handle anything loud today if I wanted to.
[he notes the way she looks away a moment..] A veteran, I see... don't know I should be impressed or what. [he leans back, eyes shutting briefly.] It's nice out here, yeah...

And she felt like a big idiot now. Pushing up into a sitting position, a small frown pulled at her lips.]

Uhm, hey, so, you're just passing through right? Is there anywhere in particular you were going to or are you just...wandering?
