John had invited Castiel to his studio. He knew the Angel wasn't human, but that didn't mean that he couldn't hang out with him--or rather it was because of the fact that John didn't want to hang out with half-demons anymore. Have a better level of friends Hennessy told him. He invited him for a drink and for those rare times of the city--it wasn't snowing, but rather hailing. "Tch. Isn't this amusing?" John chuckled as he heard hails tapping against his window, placing a glass of scotch in front of Castiel before taking a seat in front of him, "...fucking hailing like a stupid motherfucker outside. You must be lucky though Castiel." John, language. You're still so immature... "You could leave that vessel anytime you want, right?" He was trying to find the upsides of being an Angel--not just the fact that they were the Dog of the old man. He didn't even ask if Castiel drank scotch--or any type of alcohol. John just took a sip out of his glass and kept his eyes upon the window before glancing back at Castiel. John had already been ( ... )

Castiel didn't have many 'friends'. He had his brothers to whom fought side by side, and he had the Winchesters who were closest things to friends the angel had. So when John had invited the angel over Castiel accepted. Why not? John seemed... well, Cas was used to weird.

The angel stood by the window, staring out in to the street as hail fell from the high heavens. "I could." He responded turning back to look at John. "But Jimmy is no longer living in this body. My leaving the vessel means he would remain an empty husk until his organs stopped functioning. I wouldn't not do that." Looking down at his own hands he almost looked fond of them. "I consider this vessel my own now."

At John question though Castiel turned to face the man, head tilted in curiosity. "Afraid of you?" He repeated, expression guarded. "Why would I fear you?"

"Jimmy. Cute." John muttered upon the mention of Castiel's vessel's name, "...Must have been a real believer." He chuckled upon his own words before shrugging. John was still a child--he wasn't really what he was supposed to be yet. Far from it John, very far from it. He still bitched, whined, and could get his ass easily kicked by a moderately leveled half-demon. John was far from even pushing around an Angel--any Angel at that. That was unless he played completely dirty.

"You must be fond of that vessel, aren't you Castiel?" He smiled before raising his glasses, taking a sip out of his glass, "...and don't know. You rally don't have the reason to be afraid of me...or fear me..." Yet. John wasn't even sure that time would ever come. A time would ever come for him to betray Gabriel in order to get to where he needed or just needed to get shit done. "...you sure you don't want any drink?" He asked with a smile--wow John, you're smiling. "...so what kind of person was Jimmy?" John wanted to know, about someone who would give up their ( ... )
