Natasha flops down on his bed and reads the list once more. "What is this even meant to accomplish?"

She wasn't exactly meant to find the list, but, well, he doesn't have a lot of things sitting around his room so a new piece of paper stuck out like a sore thumb. "Confessions, I guess."

Natasha pats the bed next to herself. "I'd change the cowboy boots one to something else. You won't impress Peterson with that."

"But we really need to take Cap to the South," he replies, and if it was anyone else, he might say he was whining. But it's him, so he's obviously not. "And I fucking hate Peterson, so there's that."

No, no whining there at all. "First of all, if you want back on active duty, you're going to have to impress Peterson, because I tried, and the man won't budge." She pushes herself up from the bed so that she's sitting on the edge of it. "Secondly, we'll get him to the South, alright? Even if it's not on the list."

Not a bit of whining. Clint doesn't whine. But he feels like he's losing his mind here, watching the rest of them go on missions while he's stuck on desk duty and press conferences. He hates the press. "I think he's gay," Clint says with a sigh, falling back on his bed, linking his hands behind his head, "Peterson I mean, not Cap. Cap's still figuring out which end is up."

He really does want to see Captain America's reaction to the lovely people of Alabama though. He figures he might not be so gung-ho on the whole 'we're all one nation under God' mantra after that. "And I don't want to impress him. He's an ass."

{He lets out a snort at that and arches an eyebrow at her} Of all the people in my life you think it's you I don't trust? Guess again.

[She tilts her head and then smirks, shrugging before she takes a seat.]

Well. I know some day I might end up getting you killed, but...that goes without saying. Always a risk with partners.
