I -- can not truly argue this statement, though I would tell you that one can always improve their skills if one works hard to do so. [Sorry, Jane -- he likes you, quite a lot, but that is twice now you've hit him with your car, to be fair]

[Darcy was driving the first time!]

The point is to be honest, so I don't expect you to say I'm not. I know I am. But in my defense, I was under a lot of stress in that hospital parking lot. And you came out of nowhere.

[He knows Darcy as a tazer, not a driver; were he told this he honestly would believe that it was Darcy trying to soften the blow on Jane's behalf] Then honesty I shall continue to give. You are not a good driver, Jane, but I am certain that I would be a worse one. And -- I am, in the end, grateful that you hit me those times with your vehicle. Had you not backed into me in the hospital grounds I may not have seen you again, and a few bumps and lacerations is small enough price to pay for that.

You forget that I did get from town all the way to the crater site without hitting anyon... anything.

[There was that moment that she got distracted by his lovely face and veered a little, but that didn't count. The idea of anyone being grateful for being hit by a car just makes her shake her head.]

Well if I'd known hitting them with your car was the best way to meet guys I would have started running people over a long time ago.

And I commend you for that. [The teasing tone is evident in his voice, as his smile flashes brightly] I know not if most men would enjoy this method of flirtation. It may be more trouble than it's worth to start implementing it now.

[His smile is infectious and she is beaming back at him before she knows it.]

I doubt anyone else would survive it as well as you did.

[Or look as hot with bruises and scrapes, she thought.]

True. Your Midgardian men are hardly sturdy enough to withstand such insistent courtship. [He loves the bright look on her face, and reaches out to smooth a bit of her hair. It didn't really need smoothing, being lovely and in its right place, but he wanted the excuse]

[She smiles at the touch and looks down at her feet, then up at him again. She both hates and loves how the slightest attention from him turns her into a giddy, giggly schoolgirl.]

I guess it's a good thing I didn't try it sooner, then. Otherwise I might have been in jail instead of out in the desert that night.

Yes, that. [His eyes dance at the sight of her smile, his own grin wide at her response to his touch. There was a playful growl to his voice for the next] And my jealousy would have been large to contend with -- that you would hit others with your car instead of Thor?

[She laughs at his playfulness. She saw so little of it during his first visit to Earth. She hopes to see much more of it - and him.]

I can hit you again, if you'd like. I'm not sure my van will survive this time, though.

Perhaps not with your poor van, as it has suffered enough against my tough hide. [And here's a cheeky little grin] If it is truly your intention to give me a bit of a hitting, you could just ask. I am willing to explore this little peccadillo of yours, Jane Foster, though I warn you that I would most likely look the fool bent over your knee.

[His grin is quick and playful, teasing and bright. He does so miss her when he must be gone]

[Her smile disappears under very, very pink cheeks at the mental image of him in such a compromising position. Pants down, of course.]

I don't want to hit you!

Not unless you like that kind of thing...

[Oh, of course. And surely Jane knows that he wears nothing under those snug leather pants.

He raises an eyebrow at the last, at the blush on her cheeks, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips]

I may, from time to time, like that kind of thing. The question, my Jane: do you?

[Oh she is more than aware, and not just because he did not ask for undergarments when she had to clothe him in her ex-boyfriend's clothes.

Her heart skips a beat when he says 'my Jane'. He's never called her his before, at least not to her. To her surprise, she rather likes the way it sounds. What is this effect he has on her? In the past she never would have put up with a man being so possessive of her.]

I... uh...

[More insane blushing and digging of toes into the ground and looking everywhere but into his eyes.]

Perhaps. If the situation is right.

[It's a possessiveness born of affection; he would not seek to possess her in any way that she would not wish him to, to step beyond any bounds that she would determine for him. He would have her as his Jane -- but in turn he would wish to be her Thor. If she wished it.

The blushing, so lovely and sweet; the way she avoids his gaze: these things only serve to fuel his playful curiousity, to send little wicked thoughts flitting through his mind]

And what situations might these be, love? I have been informed that knowing is half the battle, and I would always wish to be at my best able to fulfill your needs and desires.

[He does not know that this is from G.I. Joe -- it was something Tony said the other day, and it made perfect sense to Thor]
