[Falling and getting turned into a werewolf? This has been a humiliation conga for Gordon but Freeman has been roaming around, generally hunting small game to keep the instinct at bay...at least his former ward is safe. ]
[Ben's noticed the scent of a new wolf in his territory, and he's not entirely sanguine about it. No humans have turned up dead or bleeding, though, so that's a good thing.
But he's impatient with games of hide and seek, and so he's tracking, in human form, to find out just exactly what he's dealing with -- what species, whether they're hostile, and what exactly they want. Or need.
[Ben just stares. He doesn't like his meat raw unless he's wolfed. Also, now that he's closer, the new guy smells... really funny.] Are you... stuck? Like that?
[Shakes head but he needs to eat so yeah...God, he HATES meat but it's either that or starve. He changes rather painfully due to wings still being a part of him.] Hi, Ben. [Tired wave]
[Ben hastily averts his eyes. He doesn't even know if Gordon's going to come back to human -- angel -- naked (some don't because the clothes... do... something), but he himself has modesty issues that have been called ridiculous. His voice comes out as a hoarse squeak.] Gordon? What happened, man?
[Effectively naked but his now stained wings cover him. Picks up the rags and dresses himself] I was protecting my ward...rather take the bullet than him.
[That part he smiles] He managed to get away and he'll forget me soon enough. I...I just want to get through this so I can either return to his side or go back home.
Okay. [Ben frowns a little.] I know it's freaky at first. Believe me. [The first time Ben woke up as a wolf, he ripped the rails off a hospital bed and tore his claws right through some poor bastard's throat before running off into the night. Bad times.] It gets easier, or it did for me.
When you Change, is it still you driving in there? Or do you lose your memory?
I just... kept on keeping on. Anyone I cared about was right there in the room when it happened to me, so it wasn't a big secret. So I grow fangs and fur three nights a month. My people still love me and being hard to kill is an asset in this business. I went from liking my meat medium-well to medium-rare. For me, the wolf's a feature, not a bug.

And the new wolf is right... there.]

...you shouldn't have to eat like that, for the record. Steak works.
