Daryl can't say he minds so much the free clothes, though he's still not happy with the way they put their hands on him as if he's some object that is open to the public. He can't really threaten them even, especially as all in all they're being generous.
He can't pull Robin away from them soon enough though, and with his hand around her waist, he guides her through the crowd.
In the little time that they have spent together, Robin has come to realise that Daryl is one very protective guy. He is sharp around the edges, but he also seems a very gentle man.
As soon as his arm wraps around her waist, Robin's settle around his.
"That was pretty weird, wasn't it? I feel like a celebrity or something."
"Hmmm..." Daryl nods, looking around to see what else he could see on the stalls. They still have a bit of money, but now they could trade Robin's jewellery too.
He realizes, though, that he needs to acknowledge his wife more than that; there are still plenty of eyes traded on them.
"Do you like it? Folk wantin' t'touch you and give you stuff?"
She looks down at the bag she's carrying on her free hand, the gifts for both of them in it. "The touching not so much."
As she looks up to ask him how he felt about the issue, he noticed that little by little, the people in the market had started to aknowledge thir prescence.
"Why do they get so excited?" She asked, trying to keep her voice low.
Glancing around, Daryl can see now that people are paying more attention to him now. Its making people react weirdly too, moving, either out of their path like some weirdass magic, or trying to get closer to them, to stare at them. It makes him feel like his skin is crawling under their gazes.
"Guess we're some great hope... like Adam 'n' Eve..."
They were in the area though, and truth be told, Robin had never met any of the other people in the program. She had heard a lot about them but never met them personally, not even once she passed the fertility test and was recruited.
"Can we go home? I'm a bit tired." She asked, hopeful, as she looked up at her husband. She wasn't terribly tired though and she wanted to see more of the market. But people were starting to make her feel nervous.
