Great. You probably got everyone in your school infected--or at least those who haven't already gotten the chicken pox. I swear...what is your mother thinking, letting you out of the house like this?
[No, she knows nothing about Stiles' family. It shows.]
[Stiles had taken in a breath to respond, but at the tail end of Abigail's sentence the breath literally puffed out of him, posture suddenly very slouched and tired. That was always how it was when someone mentioned his mother - Stiles became uncharacteristically quiet and dejected. It felt like someone had punched him in the chest.]
...I don't have a mother. [There was no way Abigail could have known that and he didn't mean to be so sad, but there was nothing he could do about it and that only made Stiles feel worse.]
Oh. Well, what were you thinking then? [She melts slightly. Family was a big thing for her, and hearing that brings out the motherly thing in her.] You need some calamine lotion--it'll help stop the itching. Do you have any at home?
That I didn't have time for this. [Stiles admitted, gesturing to the spots on his arm. He'd kind of been hoping they'd go away on their own.] I can't afford a sick day.
Uhh...what's calamine lotion? [Stiles absently scratched at the back of his neck, unfamaliar with the product Abigail was referencing. For all his knowledge about random things, practical tidbits seemed to have been left out.]
I can't take a sick day. [Stiles smiled, amused, though he wasn't quite clear on whether or not Abigail was kidding.] You think Scott would be able to last a whole day without me?
Since he's not technically a full dog I think he - hey, hey! [Stiles yelped as Abigail secured his ear, much too tired and human to be able to put up a fight.]

[That's said in greeting as Abigail gives Stiles a bit of a frank motherly look-over.]
How long have you had those spots?

Um...two days?

This is when you find out that I'm a terrible person, and if I need to kidnap you to force you to take a sick day, I will.

Either way... [She reaches out to grab at Stiles' ear, ready to drag him off by whatever means necessary.]

[She can deal with his father, too. No shame in her.]
