Having to be called out of the country to have someone taken care of sounded like a rather difficult situation. He doubted she could just go sharing that with any other individual. Pepper only knew as much as he did because Tony had no problem not keeping a secret. If you said it was top secret and required discretion you could bet he would tell Pepper. It was a miracle he didn't hold a press conference. Pepper appreciated being looped in by his boss though. He didn't relish the idea of sitting on the sidelines in a panic because he didn't know what was happening with Tony. He didn't break many rules, but it was nice to break one to keep his sanity

Natasha didn't. She shared it with the SHIELD personnel that absolutely needed to know - usually Barton, Fury and the late Coulson, but if she was in bed with anyone they never knew a thing about her life. Most of the time it was all built on lies provided in a cover. She honestly couldn't remember the last time she had been with someone just for her. Pepper was fine holding onto her secrets. It wasn't something he minded at all. You learned all about secrets when you worked for Stark Industries. Work place politics were not always easy to deal with. Sometimes you had to lie to someones face and tell them you didn't want to do business for a specific unrelated reason. When he was the CEO he tried to stay out of bed with manipulative assholes that at times wanted to connect with Tony's company. They saw the appointment of the new personal assistant turned CEO as a weakness and attempted to exploit it. Pepper was having none of that. He never had secrets from those closest to him. This wasn't so much a secret as a hesitation in sharing. He wanted to make sure things were good before he told the relationship torpedo about his new plans

He lifted hips hips from the bed to help her get him out of his boxers. She did just fine though. She got them off and he was just as naked as her now. He was a little more impressed with her though. It would have been a touch strange if he was more into his physique. He didn't mind that she had gotten the jump on him on exploring. He was becoming a huge fan of her hands and the way her lips seemed to find the most sensitive spots on him. He wasn't entirely sure if that was just a testament to how good she was in bed or a little bit of that SHIELD keen eye training she probably had endured.
