3 for me! You can pick the form contact. :)thebookishSeptember 8 2012, 05:45:46 UTC
[ Leave it to Lydia Bennet to stir up a scandal. Certainly, Mary wouldn't put it past her younger sister to do something dramatic for the sake of getting everyone's attention. Running off with Elizabeth's maybe-boyfriend, though. That is something else entirely.
Mary isn't nearly as upset about this as the rest of the Bennet family, but the wails of her mother give her a headache and she simply cannot practice the piano under such conditions, let alone sit in the room she shares with Kitty and think. Not that anyone particularly cares about what Mary needs or wants, anyway, save for Lizzy, but she's far too caught up in her own troubles. Mary doesn't bother.
Instead, she sits on the steps of the local library, nose in a Sherlock Holmes novel. ]

[Stiles is late.
Honest to God, Derek is going to rip his head off this time. Literally. He's a whirlwind of books and papers as he rushes out of the library doors, dropping a few of them haphazardly.] Dammit!
[He doesn't notice Mary sitting on the steps until he trips over her, sending his crap everywhere. He falls down the remaining stairs into the grass.]
wow i forgot about this! no worries :)thebookishOctober 10 2012, 04:02:55 UTC
[ The immediate brush of contact pulls Mary to attention and upon collision, she drops her book and reaches out for the figure surely sent to the ground because of her. Being tripped over? Typical Mary. ]
I probably should have stayed inside. [ she laments, standing over Stiles with an extended hand. ] That looked like it hurt. [ Stating the obvious as always, Mary. She adjusts her dress and stoops next to him, gathering his books with her free hand. ]
[ She smiles wryly. So Mary could be funny when she tried. Her movements are so matter-of-fact that it's hard to find the humor in her words, at first. ] I've deterred you from going somewhere important, I think.
No, it's fine. Not that important. [The pack can wait. Mary just made a joke, and Stiles hasn't seen her in a week or so, with death threats and danger continuously piling up.] How are you?
[ A corner of her mouth lifts briefly as she rests her cheek in her palm, turning her head to look at him. ]
Lydia. My Lydia, that is. She ran off with someone who was previously after my older sister, Lizzy. [ A twitch of her lips again. ] Who is involved with someone else, I think. It's all complicated. I'd much rather sit on the sidelines.
Love triangles? [Stiles guesses; that's what it sounds like. He nudges Lydia's knee reassuringly, smiling gently.] Sitting on the sidelines with a good book sounds like a nice plan.
Because they need some fluff, how's a 2 sound?wolfy_samSeptember 8 2012, 14:15:24 UTC
[The pack, as well as Dean were north of Beacon Hills for the night. Dean had gotten word of a succubus targeting kids north of the town and while Sam was all for backing up his brother, he's kind of had his fair share of unplanned, forced intimacy to last him awhile. Derek had sent most of the pack with him.
[Sam just hoped that Dean and Derek wouldn't kill each other before they got back.
[It also meant he could spend a quiet evening with Stiles. Grab a few dvd's, rent a movie and do nothing.
[So Sam grabbed his phone, firing off a text after ordering pizza.]
Perfect <3 (:alotofadderallSeptember 8 2012, 17:17:59 UTC
[Stiles had been poring over his history textbook, memorizing important battles of World War II, and broke ot of his trace as his phone buzzed. Grateful for the distraction, it took Stiles a minute to focus as his eyes burned. He'd been at his for almost three hours; a record, for him.
Stiles smiled at the text, quickly shooting back an affirmative:
Hell yes, get me out of here.
- and gathering his shit to go out to his Jeep. He'd only had it back a few weeks; his dad had gone a little overboard on the whole over-protective parent thing after that night, however long ago. Dean's excuse hadn't been satisfactory, and Stiles had to claim he'd been mugged and beaten. Second time he'd used a variation of that excuse; a third wouldn't work.]

[Sam has gone through their dvd collection, yanking out movies he figures Stiles might like. He really doesn't care what they watch, he's more interested in a quiet night in. No hunters, no monsters, no trouble. A normal evening, a relative rarity him.
[He had also tried to straighten up the apartment, at least a little. They needed to stay close to the pack since he'd been turned, so he and Dean had upgraded from a ratty motel room to a little apartment. It was stability, something Sam had wanted all his life.
[Never mind it had taken a werewolf bite to get it.
[The fridge is stocked with beer, soda and a decent amount of food. Sam had even indulged and bought a carton of ice cream at the store that afternoon. With most of the old books stacked in a corner and the weapons locked away in the foot locker in the little living room, it almost looked like a normal apartment. Now all he had to do was wait.]
[Stiles made fairly good time, stopping briefly to pick up a few varieties of candy from the gas station and fill his Jeep. He didn't know what Sam liked, so he grabbed a few chocolate products, a few gummy items, etc...they probably weren't going to eat $20 worth of candy, but Stiles knew all he had to do was leave the extra in the pack's main training room and it'd be gone within an hour.
Once they returned, of course. Scott had called him earlier to check in and let him know that nobody had died yet, which was a major relief. The whole succubus thing...well, Stiles had been willing to go, not that he particularly wanted to besides wanting to make sure nobody did anything stupid, but Derek hadn't said a word, just snarled at him so dangerously Stiles hadn't said another word about it.]
[Stiles parked his car, sliding the plastic bag full of candy over his elbow. He walked up to the apartment door and knocked, wondering if he'd gotten the right address.]
[He's not nervous. He's not. Sam just wants the place to look nice. God knows they were due a quiet night without the usual measure of danger and horror.
[Okay, maybe he's a little nervous. But it was the first time they'd been able to spend any real time alone in weeks. Stiles had been under the watchful and rightfully worried eye of his father, while Dean and Bobby had done their own fair share of hovering.
[Sam opens the door with a smile.] Hey. I'm glad you could get away. Pizza should be here in a few.
