[He doesn't know what's compelled him to ask, but he's curious to see what Stiles is willing to do or answer.]

Hmm...what the hell, dare. [Stiles smiles gently and accepts the beer gratefully, leaning back in his chair. Well, this could be fun.]

[Sam reclines in his own chair, humming thoughtfully as he tried to come up with a decent dare.]

I dare you to call my brother and tell him that you're only dating me to get close to him.

[Because awkward!Stiles was adorable, and uncomfortable!Dean was hilarious.]

Oh God, [Stiles shakes his head nervously, but pulls out his phone and fiddles with it. Yeah, one awkward Stiles coming right up.] ...Can I pretend to be drunk?

And you're not allowed to tell him it's a dare, either. He needs to think you're completely serious.

[Sam knows he's being a bit cruel, but he'll make it up to his boyfriend.]

Oh you're evil. [Stiles glances down at his phone. Man. But a dare was a dare and it was his own fault.] ...Fine. Hating you.

[Stiles dials Dean's number before he can chicken out and takes a huge swig of beer as he does. He'll need it.]

Put it on speaker.

[Sam's grinning at his lover as he takes another sip of his beer.]

[Stiles makes a face and does as Sam says, praying for an answering machine.

No dice.]

Stiles? What the hell?

[Sam tries not to snicker. This is priceless. It doesn't surprise him that Dean is confused. His brother and Stiles had exchanged numbers when Sam and the teen's relationship had gotten serious, but Stiles had never called Dean before.]

[Stiles can't even glare at Sam, he's turning too red. But for some reason, he's completely lost the ability to chicken out. Fantastic.]

What's wrong? Where's Sam?

Nothing's wrong. Sam's...not here right now.

[Sam silently shifts his chair closer to Stiles', face split on a grin. This is priceless. He'd figured Stiles would call Dean, then make up an excuse and hang up. He never thought his lover would actually go through with it.]

[Stiles manages to punch Sam in the arm when he shifts close enough, closing his eyes and mentally bracing himself. It doesn't help that Dean sounds like he's in a shitty mood.]

Then what the hell did you call me for?

[The words are whispered as Sam presses a kiss to the teen's temple. Sam knows he's way too amused by this, but he can't help it.]

[Stiles glares at Sam's kiss, but the effect is ruined by the dark shade of red his face currently is.]

...I...I like you a lot. And I'm only dating Sam because...I like you.

[Somebody shoot him.]

[Sam waits with baited breath for his brother's response. He's not really even sure what to expect. Outrage on Sam's behalf? Awkwardness at being hit on by his brother's boyfriend? Silence? Each was as likely as the next.]

[Dean's speaking a little too slowly and without enough inflection for the words to be a reciprocate, and Stiles wonders what the hell possessed Dean to say that, of all things.] Where are you?
