Not much.

Just Monty sitting at your door and pawing, whining softly. There's a note tied to his collar, "Can I come over?"]

[...Neither of them went to grade school. Monty follows him over right at his heels and a few moments later Lavi opens the door.]

I-I didn't know if y-you were still ma-mad. [Monty slips into the room, wiggling puppy, as Lavi grips the door.]

[He was the cutest test tube baby ever. xD

Lavi bites his lip and then opens the door a bit more, letting Kanda into the redhead's room. It's filled with books compared to when Kanda last was in there, he's been hiding away from the world in them. Trying to figure out to do/say.]

[Monty is just sitting there, looking up at Kanda cutely and wagging his tail. Which ends up shaking most of his little body too. Lavi scoops him up and pulls the note off, cuddling him and nodding.]

I-I ha-had to take him. H-he was go-going to ki-kill him otherwise. [Monty licks at Lavi's cheek as he goes to pick up a book he found on Newfoundlands and holds it out to Kanda.]

H-he'll be b-big and c-can protect me.

[As big as his widdle snout~ Lavi ducks his head and looks away.]

I-I had a v-vet check hi-him out. Fo-Fourteenth didn't d-do anything we-weird to him. A-and his name is Monty.

[Absolutely, they have to take care of the animal!DGM denizens of the DR. Horse!Kanda might get sick! If he's still around.

The puppy whines and looks at Kanda at the sound of his name, stretching to try and sniff at him. /o/ Zane would love it! Though...he might pounce on Monty until he gets bigger than the border collie.]

I-I get lonely... Monty he-helps...

[Lavi is fine with following Kanda around during most parts of the day, though he'd be confused at the arms length thing. They've always been that way and he's never had any interest in getting closer or further away.

His shoulders relax finally, the tenseness of perhaps being yelled at again or having Monty yanked away fading.]

He's just a puppy...
