Dorothy doesn't honestly know exactly if she'll be back. She never knows when it comes to going home from strange places. As far as she's concerned, every beautiful place she's had the trouble of dreaming about later, and never truly thinking she'll come back. So, it's best that she simply says goodbye.
She's teary eyed, a cross between so very happy to be going home and sad that she may never get a chance to come back. There's no warning when she takes a small step towards him, having wiped at her eyes yet again. She wraps her arms around Thor tightly, kissing him quickly. "Good-bye," she murmurs, handkerchief twisted between her hands as she holds him tight.
