*He watched the blue light draping Connor's body as he slept. Murphy had lost all interest on the movie he was watching, his thoughts still going over and over again over what had happened the last couple of days. They were almost murdered, they had received their calling. They had taken care of a bunch of russian murderers and couldn't go back home...*
*They were now settled on Rocco's living room, Murphy couldn't help finding it so very odd not to be sharing the bedroom with its owner, it was quite a change.*
*That had to stop now. He and Connor had discussed it, he just needed to tell Rocco now.*
[Rocco was still sitting next to Murphy, half dozing off despite his best efforts to try and stay focused on the screen in front of him. He slouched a bit, rubbing a hand over his face.]
*Murphy's own eyes were hooded, he was half-tempted to let them rest for five minutes, but he needed to look awake. He needed Rocco not to question why he wasn't going to join him in bed tonight. Again.*
*Pretend you're really interested in watching this crap, Murphy.*
Aye, yeh should go get some rest then. *he mumbled, blinking to try and keep his eyes open*
[Rocco paused at that - not like he hadn't noticed that Murphy had been... you know, trying to avoid him or something. Or at least avoid certain things they did...]
You're not going to come? Looks like you're about to pass out, man.
Nah, I want ta see how this ends. *tilting his head, he pointed at the screen with his chin.*
*he was sure that they've seen this one before. Together. But maybe Rocco didn't remember. They had done a few distracting things while they watched, after all...* I'm fine.
[Rocco hesitated a little. Yeah, okay, last time they'd watched this, they'd been all over each other, so maybe Murphy really did just want to watch it for real now, but...]
Feels like I ain't seen you alone in awhile, you know? [Kind of missed having someone else in his bed... well, someone who wasn't fucked up on drugs at least.]
What'd yeh mean? *Murphy waved a hand dismissively* Yeh've seen me plenty, specially these last couple o' days. *he purposely ignored the fact that Rocco had pointed out that they had no privacy at all*
Besides, it's been a weird last couple of days. I'm knackered.
*That shouldn't be so surprising, after Connor and his Ma, Rocco was the person who knew him best. Christ, he sure knew more about him than his own mother. In fact, he truly hopes his mother doesn't know some of the things Rocco does. Fucking hell...*
But-- *he looks down at the sleeping figure of his twin* Yeh think that leavin' Con' on his own is okay? *Connor knew about them, but...*
What? Man, who said anything about leaving Connor on his own? He's like... right by the fucking bedroom. Trust me, if there's trouble... you'll know it. [No one had tried fucking with them so far... and hell, he wouldn't be asking it if he didn't think they were safe--surely Murph' knew that, right? Not like he'd want anything happening to Connor either.]
No, I mean-- *it felt kind of dumb, but he felt a bit of true anxiety over the idea of leaving his twin's side* No one's gonna burst through the door, I fucken' know that.
I don't know. *he stroked Connor's hair, needing the contact more than his twin probably did. He stopped when Connor shifted in his sleep* Jus' feels wrong ta leave him alone, that's all.
[Rocco nodded slowly - no point in arguing it when it came to Connor. not that he really wanted to, it was just... something felt off here and he couldn't put his finger on what, but he didn't like it.] Alright, man... I understand.
[He reached over to ruffle the other's hair tiredly before leaning in to press a quick kiss to his temple.] ... Good night then, I guess.
*Murphy craned his neck, naturally pressing his temple against Roc's lips. As sure as he'd always been that he'd never need anyone but his brother, he missed Rocco too.* G'night.
*He watched the other leave, leave him alone with a movie he truly couldn't care less about and a brother that would probably bitch at him for not being honest with... Whatever he and Rocco were.*
*Guilt was stronger than will power sometimes and soon Murphy was peeking his head into Roc's room.* Oi.
[Rocco hadn't been asleep--he couldn't sleep. He was in bed though, stretched out on his back and staring up at the ceiling. He heard the door open and saw Murphy peeking in, so he propped himself slowly up on his elbows.] Yeah? Need something, man?
*They were now settled on Rocco's living room, Murphy couldn't help finding it so very odd not to be sharing the bedroom with its owner, it was quite a change.*
