[The Doctor was surprisingly bored. It was sometime in the wee hours of the night and he sat there at his desk, cheek smashed onto the desktop and glasses askew, and having the worst time screwing a bolt into his latest project. Really, he estimated he was a pathetic site when he heard soft steps creeping into his room.]

Are you still having troubles sleeping, Rose?

[Moving into his room she simply arched a brow and once again sat on his bed.] You could say that, Doctor. [She bit at her bottom lip then and crossed her legs.]

I thought I fixed that ticking or clanking noise that was annoying you so badly. [He popped out of his seat, walked around his desk searching the ceiling, listening for hints of the noise that bothered her so much.]

I don't hear it.

I didn't exactly say that was the reason why. [Looking up at him she couldn't stop the soft blush on her cheeks.]

[His gaze softened as he pulled off his glasses and walked over to her.] Mmm, missing home? It's been a while since we visited your mum...

Well, yeah. I miss mum but -- [The blonde companion ducked her head a chuckled. Things like this seemed very...awkward.] Sometimes I just need.

[He unceremoniously flopped next to her on the bed and patted the spot next to him. She was bothered, he could at least tell that much, but didn't quite know how to help her other than letting her curl up next to him. She had done that a few times in past while becoming used to the TARDIS.]

I suppose I could. [Smiling she curled up onto the bed and snuggled close to him, a deep sigh passing her plump lips.]

Have you ever loved someone, Doctor? [A small hand reached out to rest a hand against his side.]

Mmm, [He stared off at nothing in particular for a moment.] Yeah.

What things? [Her voice was soft, curious. Just like her fingers that were playing at his side.]

Well... My planet is gone, not to mention I've changed a few times since then, different friends have traveled with me, just to name a few things.
