lolz and applause at the present! Also, rolled a 7 for phys.contactmorbidbubblesSeptember 18 2011, 15:35:17 UTC
[Tina was slumped down against a tree in the park. Being out in the sun and nature was supposed to cheer you up, right? Some sort of biological pick-me-up? Well it wasn't really working for Tina, so she just sat there glumly, staring at the flecks of dirt on her Doc Marten boots.
But the sudden appearance of a fluffy offering in her peripheral vision made her look up curiously] ..Huh? [She blinked at the present and its giver, a tiny smile starting to form at the corners of her lips] Is...that for me?

What? No. Of course not. I'm saving it for someone who might actually like it, clearly. Just felt like showing off.
[But, that said, he was certainly setting the bear down in her lap while he plonked down onto the grass beside her. Somewhere beneath the instant instinct to smart-ass-ery, a genuinely concerned little smile flickered.]
[Tina's eyebrow quirked at his response, before her eyes followed to him setting the bear down in her lap. She gently picked it up, looking over it in detail - it was creepy but cute in that way Tina really liked. Plus the general idea of a teddy bear being a bad-ass was totally cool too. She gingerly ran her thumb over the stitching, admiring Aaron's handiwork. She paused at his question, looking over at him and then slowly shaking her head]
...No, not really. I've been... well, the opposite of sunshine actually. ...Though I guess that's probably obvious by now, huh?
...yeah, a bit. [Leaning back against the tree, he nudged her shoe lightly with one of his own.] Don't expect you're looking for someone to chat to about it, mm?
[Tina shrugged, idly playing with the bear in her hands now, wiggling its arms or legs as she spoke.] I dunno... I mean... it's probably really stupid and you'll just laugh at me...
[The look of shock is practiced and perfectly overblown as he holds a hand to his chest dramatically. It only lingers a moment, however, before that same hand is moving to rest on the top of her head, ruffling slightly at her hair.]
[Flair for the dramatic. No wonder they get along. Tina scrunches her nose when he ruffles her hair, but she lets him do it anyway
Well.....I'm lonely. That's all it is really when you get down to it. And I know it's dumb because I do have friends, I have plenty of friends and they're awesome, but... sometimes when I'm with them I still feel alone.
[She shrugs again, giving the bear in her lap a gentle squeeze] Toldya it was stupid....
[He tsks slightly, hand dropping from her hair to curl around her shoulder for a squeeze.]
Nah. 's not stupid. Way things are, sometimes. Sucks, but it's how it is.
Thankfully-- [His free hand not on her shoulder moved to poke the teddy bear on the nose.] --you have a bear now. Everyone knows bears are better even than friends.
[She's thankful for the squeeze, and does give him a tiny smile after he pokes her new bear-friend] Yeah...that's true. They're always there to hug and they won't make you mad or ditch you...
[She looks up to give him a tiny playful smirk] So are you saying the bear is better than you?
[She looks at him curiously while he speaks, wondering just what he means by horrible betrayal when-] AH! [She squeals in surprise, beginning to squirm and try to get out of his tickling grasp, but alas! She's overpowered and fairly ticklish, so she's giggling and gasping] O-oh my god, no! Ah!
[Tina's able to hold on for a few more moments before she can't catch her breath, and she waves the teddy bear in her hand. Well, and she lightly swats his arm with it] A-Aaron! Need....air!

And now? That same someone was holding over a hand-made present.]

Damn. Ousted by a bear. Time to roll with the punches.]
...yes. Yes, this bear is better, even than me. Because this bear won't betray you horribly. By, say.
Tickle attacks--! [Which, of course, is followed instantly by a good deal of tickling.]
