"Six. Six, look at me. Six."
He was hurt. Badly. It was taking everything she could to keep pressure on the wound. It was always situations like this that made her want to freak out, but she couldn't because she had a job to do. She wasn't in particularly great shape either, but Six was the main concern. At least his eyes were opening... sort of.
"Six. You have to stay with me."
This didn't look good. Stay calm. You can't help him if you get scared now.

He lolled his head to one side to better look at her. He felt so calm, peaceful. Yet Holiday looked borderline frantic. What was she so concerned about?
"Holiday...?"
He blinked slowly up at her, his face fully exposed without the sunglasses.
He was talking. He was dazed, but he was talking to her. She would tell him to save his strength, but it's better that he focuses on her and doesn't go out again.
"No one took them. They were knocked away." She didn't actually know where, but that is what she knew. Holiday didn't really have time to look for them. "You were hurt."
And that's all she'll say, while she looks back at the wound.... There was a lot of blood... Where was their evac!?
He tried to slide his arms beneath himself to sit up. He didn't succeed, flopping back down before he got very far. It didn't help that she was pushing him down.
"I need...I need to get up, Holiday. Check on Rex."
"Help for you, Six. You took a bad blow." Her hand is against his face quickly when he starts to droop. "You have to stay with me, alright? Until help gets back, you have to stay with me."
Her hands was covered in his blood. There was so much of it.
Alright. She's starting to lose it a little. He'll be alright, though. He has to be. She was one of the most brilliant minds on Earth. If there were a way to keep him alive, she could find it.
"You'll be okay," however, her shaky voice betrayed her.
"Yes!," she chocked out to him. "You'll be fine! You'll see! I promise! You have to!" Now, she was starting to freak out, but she bit her tongue to stop the rambling. After a few breaths, she composed herself again, as much as she could bear right now.
He nodded his head, resting it back on the concrete and gazing up at the sky. It was gray and cloudy today. As much as he would've liked to have seen a blue sky, it was a mercy on his normally-shaded eyes.
He wondered where people like him went. He'd violated the Commandment of "thou shalt not kill" many times over though a few he'd spared in mercy for their families, ordering them to flee, start over elsewhere, and never look back. He'd never deliberately killed a child to his knowledge. But he still had so much he'd done wrong with his life.
"I want you to tell Rex that I'm sorry," he said after a few minutes of silence. "When we first met, I promised him we'd find his family. I broke my promise."
"You'll tell him yourself," she said breathless, still trying to stop the bleeding. There was already so much blood. Her professional side knew what to do and it was simply to try and make him comfortable.
Her other side refused to accept it. She won't lose him, she can't. There was still so much-

Her voice tried to be as soothing as she could, "Stay, Six. Rex is fine. He went to get help."
Which felt like hours ago, even if it had only been maybe a few minutes.

He's so confused, and it takes quite a bit to get him to focus on their conversation. Yet despite the struggle, that calmness never leaves him.
His eyelids start to droop a bit before he forced them open again.

Because if her hands were that red already, it was doubtful that he was going to survive.
