"A small one but it's something," Penny says as she watches him sit down. "Oh, well, I've been dating around. I actually dated one of the guys across the hall for a while, but that sorta ended badly. How about you?"
"Ended badly? How?" Leo seems a tad concerned. "Well, I'm actually married at the moment. She stayed in San Francisco. Family needs and all. But I'm just a call away."
"This is going to sound so weird but...Wil Wheaton broke us up. Well, kind of. Leonard said he loved me, and I thanked him for it instead of saying it back. Then Wil Wheaton convinced me it was best to break up with him." Penny says with a small laugh.
"Married? Congrats. She treats you right, doesn't she?"
"That would be him," Penny says with a laugh. "And how I know him is a long and weird story I'll tell some other day."
She gives him a smile, trying hard to look happy for him. It's depressing sometimes when Penny realizes how many of her old friends are married now and she has no one.
"Well, I'm happy for you," she says with a forced smile.

Leo always sounded so calm and understanding. "I hope you make it. Got anywhere near your break yet?"

"Actually, I did a commercial a few weeks ago. It was a lot of fun."

Leo smiles encouragingly, "And at least you're having fun doing it. That's half the battle."
Reply
"And, yeah, it was fun."

"Who? Piper? Yeah, of course she does." Leo smiles warmly at the mention. "She's just going through a bit of a... rough patch at the moment."

"Hey, Penny..." Leo puts a hand on hers. "You'll find someone, too. Everyone will."
Leo smiles warmly. Maybe he should recruit a cupid for Penny.
