[And he...he missed having someone to be there, having a hand to hold, having someone to share the universe with and bounce ideas off of. More than that, he finds himself desperately missing the times he had with her. Why did he ever let her go?]

[She clamps her hands to her mouth in horror at what she said, but then he's reaching his hand to her and she can't help but take it. Butterflies flutter in her stomach at the contact.] I get to choose? But I never get to choose. I... don't know where.

Somewhere fun... but safe... ish. I don't want to be... [Stops suddenly again.] I want to enjoy this trip.

[He's just...all grins now, walking her back to the TARDIS. Impressing her, that's his goal. If he can just woo her back to full-time companionship, he can do it right this time.]

[He stutters to a halt and just...looks at her a moment. He's brilliant at talking and giving speeches and issuing threats...but saying what really matters when it really counts? He's rubbish at that.]
