[Have a Sherlock staring intently at you whilst looking for all the world like his head's about to explode. He doesn't want to admit he has no idea what he's doing, having never expounded his mental file on romance to anything beyond the word 'unnecessary'. Are you going to take pity on him, John, or let him squirm?]
Fine with me! First kiss, sex - any preference?mightbebloggingNovember 5 2011, 03:42:24 UTC
[ There's something endearing about the way he's staring at John, as if he's not quite sure what to do. He's somewhat tempted to let this go on, just to see that usually so composed and in control man squirm... but he won't. The corners of his lips upturn a bit as he gazes as this impossible man in a sort of thoughtful awe, knowing Sherlock would never cease to surprise him. The doctor slowly brings a hand up to touch that elegant cheek ever-so-gently. ]
First everything? :3shutupimageniusNovember 5 2011, 04:02:26 UTC
[It feels like he stares at John for ages before that smile of his effectively and almost alarmingly quiets his unease. Sherlock wasn't used to being so affected by other people, but John alone seemed to have the remarkable talent of getting his brain to quiet down. He also finds that he really likes the way John is looking at him, free of judgment and disdain.
He doesn't move at all as John reaches up, as though any movement would somehow dissuade him from that course of action. It isn't until John's hand finds his cheek that he leans into the touch, his eyes falling shut as he thoroughly enjoyed such simple contact. His answer should really be obvious at this point.]
Yes. [He answers without hesitation. He's already becoming completely enamored with John's hand, his eyes still closed as he rubbed his cheek against his palm. As much as he was enjoying that, he was still painfully curious about what was coming next.]
[ Sherlock Holmes is an insufferable, impossible, frustrating, brilliant man... and John is absolutely smitten with him. Its hard to pinpoint when his feelings for the other transitioned from 'best mate' to something much more, but he didn't try to figure it out. Perhaps the blur had always been there, making it difficult to say just how much this man had come to mean to him. For a moment, he just admires the other's otherworldly face, silently delighting in the high lines of his cheek, and the way his vivid eyes flutter shut at his touch. John's hands are a surgeon's hands - small, somewhat calloused, but also steady and sure. And right now, touching the detective's cheek was a more delicate thing to be focused on than any surgery he'd ever performed

[He doesn't know what it is about John that he came to admire so much. Maybe there were two many reasons to count, but the main ones were how John genuinely liked him while the vice versa was also true. He didn't know if it was more extraordinary that John was endlessly fascinated by him rather than hating him like so many others did, or that Sherlock was so interested in such a seemingly ordinary man. John may look like an everyman on the surface, but Sherlock knew better than that. John was absolutely singular, and studying him had become one of Sherlock's favorite pastimes since they moved in together

Thanks! Another Sherlock-playing friend made it for me. And I have more. :DmightbebloggingNovember 6 2011, 01:39:01 UTC
[ John still would have thought himself quite ordinary in comparison to a brilliant man like Sherlock. They really did complement each other well, though. Lestrade had once told him how he thought he made the detective 'better.' Truth be told, John was absolutely certain that it went both ways. After the war, he'd come back a broken man, living on a pension in a cheap, one bedroom flat. Ever since chancing to walk into the detective's life, his own had been turned upside down. He couldn't imagine being anywhere but with this man now

They're lovely <3 I love that artist.shutupimageniusNovember 6 2011, 04:53:09 UTC
[It really was remarkable about how quickly and thoroughly John entangled himself in Sherlock's life. It was certainly something how John could get past all his more annoying eccentricities and even go out of his way to call him brilliant. He was hardly used to compliments, and John's sounded so earnest and genuine that they had thrown Sherlock off at first. Now, though, he couldn't imagine performing his regular deductions without John's encouragement in the background

[ Some part of him had been afraid that the kiss might not be such a good thing, that it would ruin things between them and bring in this new, awkward level. Luckily, he didn't have to worry about that for very long. Everything about this man had him completely fascinated, and the kiss was no different. It was strange to almost be the 'teacher' in a situation concerning them both, for once. Usually, on the case, he was more the 'back-up,' which was alright. He was getting better at the deducing thing. Sherlock was a fairly patient teacher, and sometimes, it was if he really did want his blogger to become apt at it. Now that the roles were somewhat reversed, he would gladly take the lead
( ... )
[The idea that Sherlock could call this simply an experiment was now completely gone from his head. He used it as a defense mechanism, so if John hadn't felt the same way he had about this venture, he could just say it was an experiment and that certainly there weren't any real feelings behind it. He felt like he wouldn't be able to manage that now without John knowing for sure that he was lying because he was definitely feeling something right now. He couldn't pinpoint the emotions in play exactly, but he did know for sure that he wanted John as close to him as possible and to keep kissing him until he couldn't feel his lips anymore

Short tag is kinda short - sorry!! <33mightbebloggingNovember 8 2011, 04:47:12 UTC
[ John knew how dangerous this was, and how it was probably a very, very bad idea. This was Sherlock Holmes, after all, a man who was as brilliant as he was insufferable at times. Did he even know how to have a normal, stable relationship with another person? But as the kiss continued on, and he found himself being pulled into his flatmate's lap, bodies pressing together like that... he found he really couldn't bring himself to care right now.
No, Sherlock was not bad at snogging, not bad at all.
Curious about how the other man might enjoy something a bit different, John slowly broke the kiss, but only so he could trail his lips up that exquisite cheekbone. He then moved on to his earlobe, paying particular attention with his lips, tongue, and teeth. He wanted to see what sort of reactions this brought out, but he would derive pleasure from this no matter what. This was Sherlock, and he couldn't get enough of him, and why hadn't they been doing this sooner? ]
It's all good. :DshutupimageniusNovember 8 2011, 20:46:09 UTC
[Sherlock had no idea how to function in relationships of the romantic sense, or relationships in general, really, before John came along. It seemed he was learning what it meant to be a friend the whole time without realizing it, having developed the habit of thinking about the ramifications of his words rather than just saying them around John. He also couldn't help how pleased he'd get whenever he'd do something for John like make him tea and John would give him a smile like it was one of the more brilliant things he'd ever done. He hadn't planned on ever letting him know just how profoundly that smile had affected him, but that was before he wound up in this position which made it fairly obvious how John made him feel

[ To be perfectly honest, before this glorious moment they found themselves in, John would have sworn Sherlock was actually something of an asexual creature. His work was entirely his main focus, and he'd never really shown apparent attraction in either sex. That much had been made clear that fateful night at the restaurant, before the ridiculous chase through London and the decision made that they would be flatmates. But after that, he'd still had no reason to believe the detective was attracted to anyone or anything but his work - and maybe his flatmate. John had subsequently convinced himself this was because he might just be Sherlock's one true friend, and perhaps the man also thought him part of his work - part of his process
( ... )
[Sherlock certainly had never thought he'd be interested in something so normal as human companionship. At least, until John came along and managed to fill in all the empty spaces in Sherlock's life without even trying. The need for John became something as all-consuming as his need for casework, and every time John left to visit Sarah had left him with an unfamiliar void in his chest that nothing seemed to fill until John came back. He was ready to ignore it, until he'd hear John talk about Sarah and how it could be something serious, which managed to terrify Sherlock more than he'd imagined possible. What if John got married and moved out? How would he survive when someone so perfectly there like John was suddenly and irrevocably gone
( ... )
[ John wasn't offended by that 'are you daft' look, since yes, he's quite used to it by now, and right now, its very comforting. It actually makes him smirk quietly in dry amusement, relief flooding through him when Sherlock reassures him that everything is much better than alright. When the detective went on to explain how fine he was with the fast pacing, a bit of color actually warmed the good doctor's cheeks sheepishly. He shook his head, gaze glancing down to those addicting, heart-shaped lips, the elegant neck... and the back up to those pale eyes before he could lose all his focus completely. It was a very easy thing to do when you were straddling one Sherlock Holmes and eager to get back to all that intoxicating snogging once again. ]
No, no - I'm very good with this pacing. I just... well. [ His expression softened into a little smile. ] I want you, Sherlock, more than I've wanted... well, anyone, really. It almost scares me how badly I want this. So please don't doubt my feelings on this. Unfortunately, I'm not yet to the

Haha, thank you, I love it too. X3shutupimageniusNovember 10 2011, 00:32:15 UTC
[Sherlock is glad to see John smirk at his look rather than get offended by it per usual. Maybe he underestimated the benefits of romantic relationships, because it seemed to make John far more forgiving when he was on top of him.
And oh, John's blushing now, which just endears him to Sherlock all the more, as much as that's possible. He watches his wandering gaze in interest, feeling a slight patter in his chest at how eager John seemed to be to get back in to it because he was too.
He's all ready to jump right back into the kissing when John says the pacing is fine, but he stops himself when John trails off and smiles like that. His words manage to floor him for a moment. He already knew John was interested in him, but to hear it like that made an unfamiliar but very pleasant warmth pool in his stomach and radiate up through his chest.]
I want you too. [He blurts out suddenly, clearing his throat at how those words had so suddenly leapt from his mouth.] I know I can be difficult, but I don't want you to doubt that I am

[ Obviously, John knew Sherlock was attracted to him on some level, but he'd still had that little nagging doubt that perhaps this was more of an experiment to him. But to hear him repeat those simple words: I want you too affected the doctor so powerfully that it surprised him. It really shouldn't have, he mused - after all, the detective's words, enveloped around that deep baritone voice of his, had been affecting him since the first day they'd med and he'd introduced him to an exciting new world. Ever since then, he'd been following him almost blindly, not looking back, even on the most dangerous cases, or after their worst arguments. Now would not be different
