Just found out that our library is host the the KS Southwest Anime Club.  This makes me very happy.  It also has a lot of good/recent books. However, getting a card with them is like pulling teeth.  Most libraries only require one item with a current address on it, then they issue the card immediately.  This one requires two forms with addresses ( Read more... )

I got to hold an owl for the first time today!!!!! Yesterday I was offered the job of Distance Learning Coordinator at the Lee Richardson Zoo in Garden City, Kansas. This morning I officially accepted the position, pending that I pass a background/motor vehicle record check (which will be no problem).

Things have been a bit rough lately. I have had a lot of trouble finding a job. Either I am over- qualified or under-qualified. It's frustrating and scary, but God is teaching us a lot about faith, patience, and trust. I got a call this morning from a job I interviewed for with the MDC in Springfield MO. First of all, this was a big surprise because the MDC NEVER calls to tell you if you did not get selected for the position.
